I'll get to checking out your former RP soon, but until then, great to hear your permission. Also, I've been writing a few introductions to the plot and I'll be posting it here tomorrow for reference, for you to see what I managed to do by butchering your plot :P

And now that we have a plot floating around the air, the trickier part (in my opinion) will be getting up a fair game system, due to all those Kido, Hoho, etc., abilities.

EDIT: On account of the battle system I'm fair on having no actual system in place just count on the general common sense of the players. I feel it always gets a bit strained when you want to conform things like that and I for one hate having to use a number system to work out my combat moves, it's a lot smoother when you can just write out a cool fight scene with another willing person. Of course this is to the discretion of you Grimm as your GM and it depends what everyone else feels.

I think rather than aim for a system to regulate everyone we should instead aim for a sensible cast of players which would do the job for us.

I, too, am in favor to a number-less combat system. The offsite RP I come from is based on Battle Royale, where all battle scenes are worked out only by the creativity of the writers involved (well, and a bit of randomness, but that is neither here nor there). Hence why I would be more comfortable with "freestyle" combat

^ This. To me the most attractive thing about the bleach universe is the endless potential possibilities. Far too often have i seen RPs in this setting fall apart, because too many limits are placed on players.

I'll probably come round to the idea if everyone wants it but I kinda fancy a good 'ol fashioned Bleach RP, meaning we would play the Gotei 13. They coudl all be new, I have no problems omitting cannon characters but, I don't know, I just kind of prefer the idea of being in the Gotei 13 as a Captain more than a rebel who will be on the opposite side. This is just me being picky though. Just to reiterate we do not have to in any way shape or form use my old plot, just throwing it in the idea pool.

That Bleach RP I was in before was like that too. Pretty free and limitless (with standard RP rules applying, normally) - and I have to say it worked pretty well and I enjoyed writing up battles more than in a number-based system. But the reason I am bringing the possibility up is because I do want to hear what other people like.

And because most of the recent RP's I was in were using a number-based system, sooo I kinda forgot the joy of an endless battle possibilities. :(

It'd actually be nice to revisit that and it seems that people actually do like that more. That's always good.

I am myself more fond of playing the Gotei 13 as well. Old school, for the win.

Just, me being picky too, I never was able to get as immersed in the plot while canon characters were present. But I believe that is the least of our concerns, as we can easily opt out for an all fresh cast.

My favorite part by far (As I'm sure it is everyones) is creating Zanpakuto Powers, so much fun. I have three already and waiting for this RP that I have to choose between D: If everyone would be in agreement to make a different plot in which we are the Gotei then I'll try to help out as much I can. When you have Bleach RPs with very difffernt spins to them I get the urge to just return to the good old mundane system of regular shinigami.

It sure is! The worst, however, is finding pictures. There is just so much possibilities and the more picture I see of possible Shikai and Bankai forms, the more character I want to make. It's a cursed circle.

Well, as I said, I'm up for being the Gotei, but in case anyone has anything against it, I'll let them speak. This time. And my ideas and thoughts for a plot (some include butchering yours, Ever :P) will come tomorrow. It's already 3AM on my side of the world and I still have a movie to watch. Oh boy.

Yeah no rush. I feel your plight too, I always dream up optimistic Zanpakutos with no hope of ever finding a picture to suit it properly and my drawing skills are lacking to say the least. Even if they were up to par I don't believe I actually have access to a scanner to get them on here o.O

My arts teacher once told me that my drawing skills are too chaotic to get good grades. I said that Picasso was chaotic too and no one questioned him. Picasso got me sent to principal's office

Old school def kicks arse, so why not stick to the precontemplated plot theme, but have our characters be the gotei 13 and the main villians be the jacks?

That suits me well, I was only writing up a few more details to add to the plot to explain the connection between the new generation of captains and the setting itself.

But! I cut myself pretty bad while shaving (still managing to do it after six years of experience), so I'll have to treat that first.

Yup, makes the shave smoother, and you never have to worry about using too much force cause it acts like a lubricant. So less cuts. :)

Anyways, I had I question. In terms of hollows, what's the going theory on them? Would they be only limited to the 'primitive' hollows, or would subspecies such as the arrancar be a more common phenomenon in this setting? Meaning would the average shinigami have to occasional or rare run in with (extremely nerfed) arrancar or do they and other species simply not exist? I know it was supposedly decided that the cast would play shinigami PCs, but I'm curious for sake of potential NPC threats.

Which actually leads into another question, is the idea to remain within the soul society for the most part, or is there intention to travel abroad?!

I'd rather not limit them to only primitive hollows as it's a normal event in Bleach universe for Arrancar to exist, but since there is no Aizen and Hogyoku (I wrote that wrong, right?) - there would also be no massive spawns of powered-up hollows.

I mean, I'd let other species exist, just not available to be PC's. And a main focus would of course be on the conflict between Shinigami and the Jacks, but without hollows and other species, there wouldn't be a lot of enemies to fight when the two formerly mentioned forces are not clashing.

Now that is a good question. The main plot would take place in Soul Society as there is more than enough area to cover there, but should some characters go on short missions in the human world, I don't see a problem with that. As long as it's the main focus is not entirely shifted out into Human World or even less into Hueco Mundo (which wouldn't even have any role here, in my opinion)

Yeah I'm all for having Arrancar in there, I just dislike Vizard/Super humans etc and to some degree Quincy but they're growing on me considering the current arc. I wouldn't mind us figuring out a way to get some good Arrancar characters in the plot somewhere, Shinigami vs Hollow is always a classic and I think Reaper vs Reaper can get old.

Yea, well I do have an idea for an potential secondary story arc. Involving an hollow antogonist. However, I wanted to wait until things started to roll before tossing it out there. Seeing as that'd be an entirely new project on its own, so to speak.
