Naruto d20 game searching for a gm.

Greetings! I would like to find a dedicated gm able to run a Naruto D20 game that will last for more than a few posts. You do not need to post often just enough to keep things alive and if there are long breaks I want you to make us players (or player if we decide on a solo game) aware of that so the game does not die. I have spent far to many attempts, time and effort in to making characters, background stories and such things to only have the game die after the first few post or that it does not start past character creation.

As for the setting, chargen, how many players we will have, what things are allowed and such I will leave that up to the gm. And perhaps it would be wise not to start recruiting players until said gm have written a Big 16 of some sort. I will edit the title accordingly.

Players wanting to join this game I wish to ask you NOT to post anything in this thread. Rather subscribe to this thread and wait or send me a pm if there is something you want to ask.

Well there is an actual naruto rpg if you search for naruto d20 on google. If you are not already aware of it. Thats what I had in mind at least. But what did you have in mind? Just free form or with another system?

Also I planned on bringing the game over on to Giantitp.com since that is the site I am used too and I only really came here cause its really hard to find a gm ^^" But if you dont already have an account there or dont want to make one we can of course start it here.

Well I'd just recommend Legends of the Wulin for doing the ninja fighting moves rather than forcing D&D to do things thing that never were envisioned of it doing.

However if you wanted something crunchier I guess Weapon of the Gods or Anima: beyond fantasy.

As for place I don't care just gotta have some players for your game.

No no but its not dnd. Here ill send you a link to the book http://www.narutod20.com/downloads/ Here is the fan-made "official" naruto rpg. You dont even need any d20 material cause its basicly its own game only based on the d20 system. It is very well worked out with tons of jutsus and what not. It might be a lot to put your head around but at least take a look at it and see what you think. If you still dont like it Im fine with any other system. And I have at least one or two more players but if you want more getting others on the forums will go rather quickly.

Well first I'm not really gm material. Of course im passionate but I find it more fun being a player rather than being the gm. Hence why I am looking for one.

Well for now I don't feel like being a gm cause i've been looking to play a naruto rpg for a long time. Now are you just going to argue with me or did you actually post here for another reason?

I wont get better if I don't try. But I am not interested in GMing at all. Hope that answers your question. And before you ask "How would you know you are interested if you have never tired?" Then I can tell you I have tried and I did not like it.

Dude it's D&D 3.5 framework being used with Naruto flavored stuff instead of the usual elves, wizards,and dragons stuff from D&D proper.

Also yeah Wulin pretty much does the fighting stuff rather well and better. You got externals and weapon style stuff for like how you fight and internal for magic stuff and chi conditions which can be use for weird effects.

However if want something more mechanically complex I can totally do anima with everyone being a tao or technician as their splat totally lets them do hand seals and summoning stuff as well as one of the artifact weapons being a puppet.

Alright well Wulin sounds fine. Tho I am not familiar with the system nor have I heard of it at all. I have played a bit of anima but honestly I'd rather stay away from that ^^"

So could I get a link perhaps where I can download a pdf or something? And oh also how would wulin handle things like bloodlines and stuff? Byakugan, sharingan etc?

Well they'd be handled by spending Destiny which is its jargon for XP for the char gen. You'd get the appropriate stuff and the lore along with it. The dojotsu stuff would be handled as internal kung-fus as internals are the stuff for doing that's like magic more or less like the one in the book that lets you firebend more or less with fire chi.

Speaking of chi might tweak it a bit to fit it better with the naruto chakras although they more or less are the same thing. Might edit some of the archetypes in the book or just straight up do something new with character making.

Sounds good. Perhaps we could further discuss this over skype from now on? Then we can set whatever houserules, setting and whatever that we need and then perhaps make my character before we then start getting other players in with us. Then they could look at my character as an example and stuff. Pm me your skype and then ill add you. I might go to bed soon however so we might need to do all of that tomorow.
