So has anyone heard of the Birthright Campaign Setting*?
It's rather old (AD&D old), but I've been really wanting to run it. (Might even convert the rules to fit Pathfinder)
It's a typical D&D roleplay, but with nation-building, large-scale warfare and realm-wide magic aspects worked into it. The rules take a rather realistic approach to ruling provinces, considering how tedious it can get, but I've playtested it with my IRL group. It's quite fun, despite the old clunky mechanics which I would undoubtedly tweak and tinker with to be a bit more manageable.

Birthright takes a very literal approach to "ruling by divine right". The old pantheon sacrificed themselves to destroy an evil god during great war, but the divine power they released upon their death flooded into the people nearby. Those who absorbed enough divine power became gods themselves and went on to create the new pantheon.
Blooded Scions are people who inherited a divine bloodline and only they can command the land itself to submit to their rule and pull power from the earth.
Basically, the characters play as Scions and are Regents of a Duchy, rulers of small provinces, or at the very least lieutenants to a more powerful Regent with lots of influence.

Thematically and politically its quite a lot like Game of Thrones/England's War of the Roses.

I haven't entirely decided on a plot, since I have three different ones in mind.

Note: I can make the corebook available in dropbox or google drive for the people that care. PM me for a link.
Also, Birthright.net has a fairly good wiki, if you just want to look into it.

Anyway, anyone interested?
