It's not really a history. It's more like I don't have internet during the weekend these past two weeks which is really pesky. I also won't have internet again for the rest of today starting at 5:00 - 5:30 EST time...so I'll try to finish in the little time I have left, but no gurantees.

I love you bro, but your character doesn't seem to fit the idea of this roleplay. The entire point is the characters are supposed to be exceedingly AVERAGE and NOT-THAT-SPECIAL. I mean there is a difference between being abnormal and being out-of-place. Theo seems like he belongs in a futuristic war roleplay... which just isn't Genesis. I enjoy your character's backstory and you write very well, but I just can't see that backstory fitting in with Genesis. I'll give you a chance to redo him to keep the same character with a different background. Also, I don't see how you've worked Charity into your character... in fact he seems opposite of what a charitable person would be.

In the meantime, I'm going to allow TheMadAssHatter to make a character. I don't like making the last spot a competition, but I want the person who fits this idea the best.

Name: Geoffrey 'Geoff' Harrison
Age: 18
Gender: M

Appearance: Standing at 5'10" and weighing about 157 lbs, he's about average size with fairly well toned muscles. His eyes are blue, his skin is a pale white, and he has straight, medium-long brown hair which he typically has swept to the left. He tends to wear slim-fit jeans, usually either blue or black, and button down shirts worn over a v-neck. He pretty much always wears converse shoes, no matter what he's doing or how well it fits the situation. He favors darker colors and, though not 100% befitting of his personality, they usually look good on him.

Personality: Geoff tends to display both cynical and idealistic traits, which vary depending on his mood, though he mostly remains on the bright side. Regardless, he knows that being pissed off about things doesn't do much good and he tries to look on the bright side whenever he can. He has always been a giving person, so much that he sometimes cares more about others' well being than his own. He tends to be calm, friendly, outgoing and kind, and he tends not to let things get to him. On the rare occasions where something does get to him he puts up a hard and callous front, often pushing his friends away and preferring to remain alone for a time.

While he likes to indulge in the occasional drunken party, he knows his limits and he makes sure not to exceed them, and he applies this philosophy to pretty much everything he does. In other words, he takes all things in moderation. He also tries to add a bit of humor to whatever he says or does, unless he's in a bad mood, though this is often met with mixed results. This may be because he tends to resort to sarcasm and irony when it comes to humor, and it doesn't always translate well.

Relationship with Parent/Guardian: Geoff has more of a friendly relationship with his father than it is a parent/child relationship. They banter about whatever comes up, enjoy the same hobbies, get into fights on occasion, but by the end of the day they know they can count on each other.

Brief Biography: Geoff was born in Denver, Colorado to his father, mostly. His mother left as soon as the hospital staff allowed her to, and Geoff has lived with his father ever since. His dad was far from perfect, having mistakenly conceived Geoff at the young age of 19 with a woman two years younger. It went to court after the girl's parents found out, but statutory rape laws in Colorado allowed for the small difference in age and the girl said it was consensual, thus the case was dismissed. The girl left regardless, knowing full well she wasn't ready for the responsibility of raising a child. Geoff's father, though equally daunted by the idea, took care of Geoff for personal reasons.

Geoff picked up most of his tendencies from his father; his intelligence, kindness, and generosity, among other things. Geoff's father never really treated Geoff like his son as much as he would a friend, mostly because of the circumstances that led to his birth. He told Geoff at the age of 14 about what had happened with his mother. Geoff actually responded fairly well, partially because of their relationship as it was. Geoff knew already that his father cared about him, and that was enough for him and their relationship came out unharmed.

Geoff had a fairly easy time in High School, particularly from a social standpoint. He was odd in the fact that he didn't really adhere to any one social group, rather he had several friends that spanned all over the spectrum of stereotypes and subcultures. As such, he also played the mediator whenever a conflict came up, and he always helped out whenever something bad happened in one of his friend's lives. He was always there for his friends, and most of his friends put their trust in him as a result. It made it all the harder for him to leave when High School ended.

He had gotten accepted to a fairly prestigious college in Hope, and enough money in scholarships to pay for two years. He spent as much time with his friends as he could before Summer ended, then packed his stuff and headed to Hope.
