Your particular set of skills was recommended to me, and so I contact you today to offer a job.

Here are the details:
One of our researchers, Tara Yu, has disappeared from the radar recently. She was expected to report back from her field research last week, but never showed up here. Her backup insurance is scheduled to rez her backup in around 3 months (I don't know the specifics).
Of course, we aren't cheapskates. Successful retrieval of Tara Yu will result in a positive hit to your rep or a sum of credits. (Your choice)

As the disappearance of one of our members would prove detrimental to our reputation, I trust you will keep a low profile and minimize the connections between your investigation and T.A.U.

This is a game for 4 players, but I can work with 3-5. Places are limited so please apply if you have good knowledge of the game universe! I can teach the system too.

I will be running the module "glory". I ask you to not play of you have read this module as it will ruin any sense of mystery or suspense and open the door to hardcore meta gaming.

Characters should have a link to Titan University in their story. (Teacher, student, contract worker, etc.)
Characters are NOT firewall sentinels. This is really important.

Other than that, I don't really have other restrictions... Try to keep your characters believable and varied (ie: "FULL ON COMBAT SPECIALIST: ALL SKILLS UNRELATED TO COMBAT ARE IRRELEVANT" characters are not preferred because they tend to be really boring to play.) I HIGHLY recommend you read transhuman's guide to creating a character as it will save you from major pitfalls.

I'm totally in. My two characters are
Ardas, a face-type character, a corvid uplift who believes himself a god, and is somewhat depressed and lethargic as he believes himself to be the only (or last?) of some mythical race. A strong async who would most likely be found doing janitor work at TAU.

Rikov Alfarsi, a very facey, async, but still somewhat shooty type character, a rich asshole hyperelite before the fall, during the fall he came into close contact with a certain strain of the exsurgent virus, and after the fall he fell back into being a rich asshole, though this time a rich criminal asshole. He runs a minor criminal enterprise on Mars. He is just tickled pink to do all his own wetwork. If he's at TAU, someone would probably notice. Maybe he's there trying to convince someone important of the CLEARLY OBVIOUS signs of IMMINENT ALIEN INVASION(!!!). (Cosmic Anxiety Disorder)

So, I got two characters for this who would probably fit...

David Bennet

An ex-Jovian emmigrant who survived the fall and went into biotech, mostly living a normal, content; if dull life. His views changed at one research convention on mars that was impossible to make in time by shuttle and hesitantly went by farcast. Having been sheltered since his childhood years, he had thought the rest of the system would be an anarchic mess and was pleasantly surprised to see it happy and functioning. As well as the fact resleeving hadn't felt as crushing as he once feared, and mesh inserts and a genetweaked body felt quite ...liberating. A few months after the convention, he emmigrated from Jove to go try a transhuman life in earnest and live out the new experiences it offered.

He has no idea what Firewall or anything is and would have research contacts at T.A.U. as he still pursues his field in a more independent manner. Currently lives in Noctis City running a home-based body mod and sculpting business.

And.. Hanz Graner (Who's sheet I need to fix) Ex-Cargo Dragon

I'm not kidding. In the Eye of Fazh-whatever books there's these massive biomorphs the size of houses that look like dragons, called Kiyos. Before the Fall, Hanz actually worked in one as a living cargo loader. Clock in, resleeve into Kiyo, haul freighter crates that weighed tons between freighters and space ports, sleeved back into his normal body after the shift. The constant resleeving had a quite positive effect on his sense of somatic control and coordination and a lot of his hobbies revolve around physical activity.

When the Fall hit? He fled in an unusual manner ...Which is to say in the Kiyo, literally just flew off in any random direction when the station he was working at got affected and drifted for years in a hibernation until he wound up bumping into something near Titan. The years after the fall hadn't been kind of the large morph, it had a number of tumors from constant radiation and was very beaten up from micrometeor impacts and other abuse. Completely impossible to mend such a large morph reliably, let alone live in. Hanz gave it over in trade for a custom-sculpted splicer that resembled the one he left behind in the Fall and became a Titan Commonwealth citizen. If he had any ties to the T.A.U. it would be as a student, as he has no educational skills and working as a stripper for the rest of eternity isn't very appealing.

Hi,

Looking to join this campaign as well.

Any limitations or directions in terms of what kind of characters we should be making?

I personally would like to play a character that relies heavily on forking and an engineered multiple personality disorder. If anyone has read Blindsight by Peter Watts, it would be functioning a bit like the linguist described there. I still need to sit down and work the concept with the EP crunch, but I am pretty sure it can work by RAW standard character generation.
