So far we've established:
Harry x Hermione & Draco x Luna
I'll be playing Hermione and Draco and you'll be playing Harry and Luna.
As far as a period to start, I'm fine with any place though I'd prefer something post-year four at the earliest. And from there I think we could easily have some AU / non-canon event happen if we wanted to push for an aggressive start on the shifting of alliances and dark tones. I'll just ramble off some random ideas/thoughts I have and you can add some of yours and we'll see what we both can come to an agreement about. Of course these will depend on how we want to start and see our characters evolve.
1. Incorporating Luna is probably going to be the tricky part, Draco could kidnap her in the summer between year six and seven. There he attempts to convert her to join the Death Eaters because despite her oddities, he sense she could have potential based on what he saw in year five and six.
2. I plan on playing Draco as someone coming into his own, breaking out of his father's shadow and trying to take initiative on his own. He'll be more manipulative, selfish, cunning etc.
3. Considering Ron isn't as needed, I would suggest killing his character off, either at the beginning of year seven or somewhere in the middle. I guess it depends on our plot and beginning.
4. I'll probably play Hermione was her usual intelligent self but one who's now seeing the big picture, in regards to her association with Harry has endangered her family and loves one, she'll perhaps slowly resent him for that, And if a character death comes into play, it would probably add to the tension.
5. I do honestly, see the majority of starting points happening during year seven when they're on the run. It's the most stressful time with the least amount of hope to be found.
6. An idea but could be a stretch, Draco could decide it's time for a new generation of evil and thus could take it upon himself to go and find the Horcuxes on his own so he can gain status by killing Voldemort himself and thus taking over as a new dark lord for a new generation. And so he can clean up his family name.
7. If we wanted, we could use Ron as an antagonist and use his betrayal or double agent status to add some drama to Harry x Hermione.
8. I'm not sure how you'd like to write Luna, as someone susceptible to Draco's threats or promises or someone who really could go either way in terms of changing alliances. I mean it's not like she was "totally" accepted in terms of Harry's group and she probably lacks a real solid reason to protect them, except perhaps her father. I could see her changing sides with or without persuasion.
