A scream filled the church as a older brunette woman was being pulling of top of one of the men attending. The scratches on his face showing where she had attacked him. "I am not sorry! I am not sorry! You have gotten what you deserve, heartless monster!" She screamed loudly as the she struggled, against the hands of men and women that pulled her outside, to her fate. "Genevieve Areille McGeller, you have been convicted of the crime of witchcraft." The preacher spoke loudly as they bond her hands and feet. "Do you any last words to say for yourself?" The woman laughed at the question. "Last words” she laughed. “I am not the one that will be punished in the end, you took everything from me Henry! You, and your family shall be cursed as long as it for you to feel my daughters pain!" With that the fire was lit and a blood curtailing scream filled the air.

Haven woke up in a panic, it taking a moment to where she was, the empty bedroom of her house for three years. It was really sad to leave it, but she really had no say in the matter. She was being sent to Salem, to be the new manager of the new restaurant in the popular chain. Though she was pretty excited about the chance to prove herself, her mother and grandmother weren’t so much. It had years since any of her family returned to Salem, since her grandmother ran away after the deaths of Victoria and Genevieve. They had been taught to hate what they didn’t even witness, and had vowed never to come back or find the cure.

As Haven pulled her hair up, she glanced in the mirror at herself. With light sandy brown hair and dark green eyes, Haven stood at about 5'6 and was curvy built. She looked just like her mother, and her mother, and so on through the years up to Victoria. It was said this was one the backfires of the curse, to look the exact same. There were many others, however this was the clearest of them. Frowning at her own train of thought, she stuffed the rest of her stuff in with her cat, to start her long drive to Salem.

Hours later Haven found herself biting her lips nervously, as she passed the "Welcome to Salem" sign. Though the sign was welcoming the feeling of the town wasn't, she couldn't help but feel a urge to turn around and go back. Even as she finally pulled to a stop in front of her new house, the moving truck already there waiting her. Getting out of her car she started helping to unpack and move her stuff in, leaving her cat and magical things for last. As she looked around at the boxes she sighed.

"This is going to take forever, Eclipse." She said before looking at the cat rubbing his against her ankles purring. She smiled reaching down to pet him, before getting her keys. "I'm going to get something to eat. I'll bring you back something." She said as if the cat was going to answer, before locking up and getting in her car.

It's been ten generations since the Lucine family was cursed, since the witch had cursed befallen the current generations Great Grandfather, Henry. At first, the Lucine family struggled so heatedly to find a cure for the dreadful curse, searching high and low and trying whatever they could. Some rumors say some family members even tried darker means in order to cure it. Eventually though, they simply gave up in trying, accepting the fact they would forever be cursed to become a monster at night. Still, the perks had its ups along with its downs.

The Lucine family was well beloved by regular people, the common folk naturally attracted to the members be it for their wealth or their natural dangerous vibe. Law amongst the family was to keep the curse a absolute secret of course, in fear of losing the family wealth and being hunted like beasts. They could run fast, had excellent strength and endurance, and superior senses. So after getting used to it and knowing how to use such perks, it wasn't all bad.

However, there was one particular family member who wasn't quite as happy as the rest of her family, although it wasn't exactly due to the curse that had befallen her. In the town of Salem, the Lucine family lived in a large mansion encased in a stone wall. The Lucine family had grown quite healthy over the many years.

The head of the house was Charles, owning a few businesses within Salem and making quite a profit. He had short well groomed blonde hair and stunning blue eyes. His wife, Amelia who had bright long red hair and green eyes and mostly stayed home and reveled in the riches.

Charles's younger brother, Rowan who had the same blonde hair and blue eyes and worked as a manager for his brother. Amelia's older brother and sister, Duke and Rosaline who were twins and had light brown hair and brown eyes who seemed to enjoy the perks of the curse and often took advantage of others.

Charles and Amelia had two children, a boy and girl named Jacob who had his mothers red hair but short and his fathers blue eyes, and Annabelle who's had long blonde hair and green eyes. Both around their twenties, though Jacob is working to take over the family business and Annabelle simply staying by her mother. Rowen had a son named Luke who was the spitting image of him and often played with Jacob.

Lastly, was Zari Lucine. The youngest at the age of twenty-one and the black sheep of the family. Well, guess it would be black beast in this case. A tall woman at 6'5, a lovely dark tan and long black flowing slightly wavy hair reaching just to her lower back, bangs slightly over her eyes and beautiful blue glowing eyes. Unlike the rest of her family who all had light colorings from their smooth white skin and their brighter hair colors, Zari was darker and bore little resemblance other than her natural beauty, dangerous vibe, and her stunning blue eye color. The reason was rather simple. Her father was still Charles Lucine, but Amelia was not her mother. So in other words, she was a bastard. A obvious one at that.

Having no claim to the family wealth, or heritage, the only reason the Lucine family kept her was because of the curse. Fearing that she would tell someone if they just completely abandoned her. Though she guessed her father would have guessed Zari never would have showed up on his doorstep. Probably guessing her mother would see the monster 'she' created and either kill herself, or kill the monster child. Instead, her mother raised her until the age of seven before storming the Lucine estate at sunset. Demanding that Charles take responsibility for his own daughter, and proved the curse before him when the sun set and Zari changed. Charles agreed and took in Zari as part of the Lucine family, though Zari never saw her poor mother again.

"Hey! Zari move it will ya?" Luke called up ahead, snapping Zari out of her thoughts as she looked up to see her cousin wave at her, having paused with his walk beside Jacob and Annabelle. Out of all the family members, Rowan and Luke were probably the kindest towards her. Luke was wearing some white pants, a light green T-shirt, and a white jacket.

"Just leave her. She'll just be a drag on our fun. Probably will end up chasing all the beautiful ladies away before I get my fun." Jacob huffed as he walked on ahead, winking at a few passerby's who swooned a little in his presence. Wearing tan pants and a white long sleeved shirt with a tan jacket.

"And no man will want to see such a gloomy looking person." Annabelle giggled softly as she flutter a frilly fan in her left delicate hand. Wearing a beautiful pretty light pink dress.

Zari rolled her eyes and snorted before catching up to walk beside Luke. "I get the same amount of attention as you prissy little brats." she replied bluntly. Wearing a pair of dark jeans, a dark red t shirt and a black leather jacket, her hands shoved in her pants pockets.

"Probably the wrong attention." Annabelle said in a sing-song tone of voice before giggling a bit more.

Luke rolled his eyes before pointing to the restaurant called 'Moonlight' and it was a family business that was open twenty four hours. Lot was a lively place with dancing and music and plenty of people in town came hoping to catch a glimpse of a Lucine family member. "Come on, we're here so let's head in and get something to eat." he said calmly before heading inside.

"And some chicks." Jacob smirked before heading inside, the place having a somewhat of a exotic yet elegant atmosphere. Slightly dark with music playing in he background and people having fun. It had a dance floor, a bar, plenty of booths for people to sit.

Zari's three relatives took different seats, simply for one reason. To attract the attention of the people attending and it didn't take long for women and men to become interested in the Lucine's. Offering drinks, free meals, and flirting. Taking a seat at the counter, it didn't take long for people to approach her either.

A broad muscular man seemed to approach her and offered a drink. Zari smiled sweetly and politely declined, shooting a pleasant mysterious smile to those who spoke to her.

After about thirty minutes of driving around aimlessly Haven found herself in front of some restaurant she had never even heard of before. The sad part was that she had really no idea of how she had gotten here in the first place. It wasn't like this was the first time she had been pulled towards someplace she hadn't been to before, although it usually wasn't halfway across town like this. Still she was starving and though it wasn't the fast food she had planned on at first, maybe that was actually a good thing. Looking into the mirror she checked to make sure she checked to make sure that she at least looked decent, after hours of unpacking and moving. Not that she was a very preppy woman, however she didn't know if this place was picky about who they in or not. As she got out of the car, she pulled her hair out of the ponytail it was tied up in, letting her light brown wavy hair fall down just passed her shoulders. Although her worries were soon put to rest when she stepped into 'Moonlight' to see there wasn't any kind of dress code, if anything she fit right in with her short sleeved black shirt and light blue jean shorts that were cut to about her knees. Okay maybe not fit in pre say, the McGeller's never really fit in anywhere. Most of the time people would try to avoid them if they were normal, kinda of like a defiance was put up to keep them safe from witches magic. It was a good way to be able to know you to watch in the crowd. It didn't take to long for her to be noticed either for that matter, by the time she got to one of the booths, there were already some people starting to give her dirty looks. Haven tried to keep herself from noticing as she took a booth closer to the bar and farther from the dance floor, pulling the menu up in front of her face to avoid the people watching her.
