Name: Mirabella Carmian

Age: 18

Race: Witch

Pet: She and her mother has a shapeshifting creature called a Maka. It is normally a dragon but will occasionally shift to a different animal.

Bio: Though Mira can not remember it, her mother was not always evil. Her mother, although she was a witch with darker magic, hadn't harmed anyone when she was child, and had even done some good with her magic. Her father was the same, using his magic for good as well. Only even when all you do is good, bad things can find you. Humans had taken to picturing all witches and warlocks evil causing term-oil between the humans and the magical beings, and because of this, her father, when Mira was just six years old, had been killed by a group of humans passing through the woods. Her mother had never forgiven that, and her father's death had left her mother's heart cold and bitter toward humans. It was because of this, that her mother had turned on the humans and wanted to keep her daughter form their 'evil clutches' as she said. In an attempt to shield Mira from those evil humans, kept her within a barrier. The barrier is not seen by human eyes without the help of magic, and was created to keep those without magic out. Only magic wielders could break the barrier, leaving Mira safe from humans as long as she was within that barrier that surrounded their cottage within the woods.

Yet, Mira was a curious child, and when she was eight, got her first taste of how cruel humans really could be. The young girl, curious about what lay in the woods beyond the barrier her mother had set up, left its protection and traveled just a little further into the woods, where she met a group of humans children playing a game of pretend. She was more than happy to join in. They played for about a half hour, when the children decided they wanted to change stories and play prince and princesses, which of course, included a evil witch. Now, Mira didn't think much of this. She thought it was just a fun game, and because she was a witch, offered to play the part of the witch. And it was in playing it, that she had showed her powers to these children, who were immediately disgusted by her. They called her names, threw mud at her and pushed her to the ground, threatening to drag her into the kingdoms and hand her over to the royals to be killed, most likely learning such things from watching their parents say and do the same things to magic wielders. Thankfully, her mother had been near by and had chased the children off, bringing the disheartened and hurt Mira back home, where Mira never dared to leave the barrier again. Still though Mira remained curious.

Her mother always told her that witches never would be considered good. They were doomed to living life in the darkness and to be hated by humans. That humans considered them worthless and would never understand them. And Mira wondered what she could do to make it so that humans didn't hate her. She spent her life reading storybooks(books that told the stories of the princess and princes who lived happily ever after after killing the witches. these had belonged to her father and he used to read them to her every night. After his death her mother tried to throw them out but Mira snuck them back in and hid them to keep for herself). Mira read them with the fascination and took them to heart. It was always a happy ending for the humans, yet not for the witches. After taking this fact in over and over again with every story she read through out the years, she came to the conclusion that she didn't want to be a witch anymore. She wanted to be human. She began to hate her powers and hate herself. She wanted to make a new her. But she never had the courage to leave the woods and try, for fear she would make a mistake and the humans might find out who she truly is.
Apperence:
(her eyes)

(anime version)

(real life version)

Other: Mira has come to consider herself evil because she is a witch, even though she uses her powers for anything but evil. She considers herself evil because of what she is, rather than what she does, which is why she wishes to change what she is(even though this isn't physically possible, she still wants to at least act like she isn't a witch) and wishes to become human.

**Here's the rest of my CS, since I can't edit my other post** Bio: Destrian grew up in the lap of luxury. As the king’s only son, he was first in line for the crown, so of course he was treated as such. Even as a child, he had an endless stream of servants lined up to satisfy his will. All of his prestigious treatment made him arrogant, and as he aged he started to view others as less important than himself. After all, if he wasn’t, why did he receive everything he desired? His small, selfish world was turned upside down one day when he caught a servant girl stealing a loaf of bread from the royal kitchens. The sight of it disgusted him. A peasant thought she was worthy of food meant for the king himself? Such foolishness! He decided to follow her, intending to snatch the loaf away after she had taken a bite and then report her to the castle guards. However, when he tailed her to the servants’ quarters, he saw the girl take the bread to a small, pale child wrapped in thin blankets. She hadn’t taken it for herself. She was risking her own neck to take care of the little boy. He came out from hiding and approached the girl, asking her why she would do such a thing. The girl explained that the sickly child was her brother and they didn’t have enough to eat. This surprised Destrian. He knew the peasants didn’t have as much as the royal family did, but he had always assumed they were still well-off. No one had ever suggested anything otherwise to him. Ever since that day, Destrian began to notice more and more injustices being done to the poor people in the kingdom. He would travel through the peasant-filled sectors, wearing a cloak to conceal his face. He witnessed first-hand just how badly they were treated by the knights and the upper-class. His entire perspective was shifted and he vowed to make a change when he took over as the kingdom after his father. He wanted to become a ruler who looked out for all of his people, not just the wealthy. The only part of the kingdom’s discrimination that he struggled with was the persecution of wizards and witches. He understood the reasoning behind it, but after witnessing several executions, he found it hard to believe that all magic-users were evil. Some of the people his father had sentenced were only children. When considering what he planned to do as the next king, Destrian was always torn between his desire to protect the kingdom, and his desire to protect all of its people. Other: Destrian has always had a fondness for music. It is the only part of the royal balls his father mandates him to attend that he enjoys. He also spends his spare time learning songs on his lute to help him relax after stressful days.

Daw thanks X3 I put a lot of effort into all of my characters. Maybe that's why? In fact, I think I'll let you in on a little secret~ ;) I develop all of my characters based on one central positive trait, and one central negative trait (after all, everybody's gotta have their flaws, right?). Doing this helps me stabilize their tendencies and personalities. I can put them in any situation and know exactly how they will react. Sometimes I even switch characters in my RPs to see how one would respond differently than the other (none of this gets written down, of course). For example, I might swap Isaac and Serix's personalities and run through events of the RPs in my head (Say, the river scene in GND) and picture how the character would act differently. It's a little exercise I use to prevent my characters' personalities from gelling into almost the same person, which is an issue I've seem among other RPers who engage in multiple stories at once, and even caught myself doing occasionally when I get two characters mixed up in my head. In regards to the dominant traits, I made a little list with the guys in our RPs so you can see what I mean. Just in case you're interested ^w^ **Isaac** positive: love/compassion _(seen in how he still cares for Anna despite all the things she's done to him)_ negative: anxiety _(seen in how he tends to think the worst when things go wrong, like with his mother's depression)_ **Serix** positive: curiosity/thoughtfulness _(seen in his reactions to everything new or interesting that he comes across)_ negative: over-evaluation _(seen in how he tries to plan every step ahead and also in how he is blind to his feelings toward Cassie)_ _[I'm also slowly working another trait into him as the RP progresses ;) see if you can figure it out]_ **Destrian** positive: justice/reason _(no examples yet)_ negative: hesitancy _(no examples yet; might change if I have a better one in mind)_ Sooooo yeah XD my characters can get pretty deep when I build them up from these foundations. It makes it super fun to get into their heads~

Wow thats really great. I hope my characters don't all seem the same XD I struggle with not doing that haha. Maybe I need to try that trick. Let's see. **Anna** Positive: Despite her anger attitude she has a big heart and likes to help people in need(_likely comes from her years of being in need herself when she lived on the streets_) Negative: She has an angry disposition where she is mad at pretty much everything, the most being God. **Cassie** Positive: Her strong will is her main positive trait(_as shown by how long she has survived and has gone through so much yet still keeps going_) Negative: She's a bit too trusting and forgiving(as shown by how easily she trusted Serix at first and forgave him when he tried to kill her. this could come to be pretty bad later on if she meets another alien, ect.) **Mirabella** Positive: She is a big dreamer(this is shown in her love for stories and her large imagination and curiosity) Negative: Her fear of humans(while she wants to become one somehow and she admires them, at this point in time, being a witch, she knows they would kill her if they found out and so has to avoid and fear them) I think I did okay with that haha XD Makes me definitely feel better about them. Hmmm, Serix's other trait. Idk. XD Is it Caring? Or Wonder? Theres so many things it could be haha. Also, when I write reactions I sometimes look at the chart below It helps me XD ![enter image description here](http://i.imgur.com/PNsq0iH.jpg "enter image title here")

That's a cool chart :o I've never seen it before Glad I could help you organize your characters some XD I think you were doing a good job with them already, but it never hurts to add some more foundations~ And I think Serix's other trait will become more obvious as the RP progresses. It has to do with his character development and the plot
