It's my understanding that after 48 hours if they have not posted, you make the follow-up post for it. As the rules imply.

Huh. I thought there was an automatic connect post after 48 hours, not an automatic victory.
An automatic connect meaning that the attack that was attempted last post successfully hits it's mark, effect and all.

Edit: Which means, if I'm right, that your fight is far from over :)
