[OOC] Fourth Dimension (Page 26)

I'm going to temp post my IC post here for a little bit, now that I'm connected. If I end up running out the door, I'll hit post here and then edit it into the real IC once I can finish it. But until then, enjoy the spoilers. Posted.

IC Post of UnFinishedness

[Naoto] Naoto flipped the safety on his gun and finished putting it away in it's holster. He slowly walked over to the beast with the strongman sitting on top, and seemingly everyone else was gathered around. Even the thief he was after had wandered over, before stopping and thinking over a few things herself. Naoto reached the beast, and looked it over. He examined the head, where the shot was, and looked at the glowing he had seen before. It was still as vibrant as it had originally been, but the beast showed no signs of moving. "Odd. This creature has something inside of it, and it still looks alive. I don't know what to make of it." he said with a short sigh. "But, from the looks of it... I think it might still be alive." he said, then looking up at the strongman to make sure he heard. [Kassy] The young-minded thief stopped before the group, looking up at the musclehead sitting atop what was supposed to be the beast. The officer walked over and started to examine it, before making a few comments about it, though he didn't seem very worried even after what he had said. 'Jenica' then turned on her heels, ready to make her way to the door, but at that precise movement had handcuffs thrown on her hands behind her back. "You knew this was coming. I'm sure this will all settle over soon, especially since you've saved this place today." the officer said, turning her to face him. "That is, what's left of it." she sighed. The officer looked at her face, showing recognition in his own eyes. "Oh, so I was correct. You were that one I was sent after. What a coincidence you stuck around long enough for me to catch you, as well as for me to be the one to have the honors of taking you in." the officer said, before turning her back around, then receiving a blast in the chest, sending him into the beast's head. The girl sent energy into the hand-cuffs, snapping them off instantly, and bolted for the doors quickly. {Unexpected Visitor} A man walked in the doors, forcing Kassy to skid to a stop before him, holding herself in a defensive stance. "No worries about that, you've been excused of all crimes. In fact, all of you have. All of you have been sentenced for various reasons, all within the last hour, but they have been dealt with." the man said. It was now obvious he had two armed guards standing beside him, fully dressed in very futuristic-looking red armor. They wore black visors, hiding their face, and were outfitted with fully-automatic sub-machine guns of an unknown type. "I'm sorry, what was I accused of?" Naoto asked after he picked himself up after the blast. "You failed to call fo backup in time, and completely missed the fact this young miss had stolen a very dangerous device, which young Tanaka had to warn you about." the man said very seriously. "That's not a crime!" Naoto shot back. "It is when you decided to not shoot her." the man responded shortly after. "As for the rest of you, it's very simple. Messing with official police business is a crime, and all of you would be sent to jail even after your heroics. The times have changed, alas, otherwise they would have easily forgiven you. But, lucky for the bunch of you, I have convinced them to forgive your 'crimes', as they see it in their eyes, under one condition. And that is if you all come work for me. Even the young misses Shiroka. I am aware she is a runaway from home, and has no one to take care of her. But, I believe it is up to her to decide her fate, as I have been given that much leeway. Come work for me, as I see all of you have powers beyond your comprehension, or you can go back home to your parents. The rest of you do not have this option. It's either work under my supervision, or go to jail." "I don't see why what I did was a crime! I'm an officer, one of the best mind you, and I fulfilled my duties. I didn't let harm come to others as best to my ability, I didn't risk the lives of others-" he said, but was shortly interrupted, "Except for when you shot at the beast as he stood next to Tanaka and Shiroka." the mysterious man cut in quickly. "Don't try to cut your way out of this. As horrible as it sounds, the government is not as they used to be, and are willing to throw you in jail without a proper investigation. You should consider yourselves lucky you're going to work for me, as I'm going to change your lives. All of you have powers, as I'm sure you're partially aware of, but you all hold much more than the average man. If you're willing to join us, then I can explain. If not, then it would be too dangerous to announce this information to all of you. But I will say this.... Young Tanaka, did you not feel the energy as it rushed passed you, right after you had shot the creature and dove for the ground? That was the young thief... Kassy, not Jenica, by the way... she used her powers over energy to send that. You can't feel that without control over it as well... or at least, the possibility to control it." the man smiled, feeling like he let loose a secret he shouldn't have. {The Doctor's Evil Twin A Mysterious lab-coat Man} Another man burst through the doors behind the first and his men, quickly scanning the room in several tight spins. "What! What happened to my convention!?" he screamed loudly. He stopped spinning, staring at Kassy and the rest of the group behind her. "All of you did this! Guards, shoot them! Shoot all of them down!" he commanded the other man's guards. The guards stood there, ignoring his commands, as they could feel the real commander did not wish them to do as they were just told. "What are you waiting for!? Shoot all of these idiots! They broke my convention, and my countless inventions! Shooooot theeemmm!" he yelled, jumping into the air after he faced them, clenching his fists. "Enough." the original mysterious man told this new man wearing a lab coat. The lab-coated man slumped down, facing his feet. He then bolted upright, and got right in the 'main-man's' face. "Wait. You're not planning on hiring them, are you?" he asked, sounding like it would be the end of the world if what he said was true. "That's up to them." the lead man said. Does anyone have any names for these characters? Ugh. It's going to be hard to refer to them otherwise. :\
