Troll looooore. Okay, this is amazing and I wish I could say I spent all vacation thinking it over, but - seriously? Trolly cars and ramen and sourdough bread. It completely never even came to mind.

That said, I am back and I'm catching up so I'm sure Hap will have all manner of questions for you. Heh. It's super interesting!

Lol, yeah, I can understand why, though I did just read trolly as troll-y... >.>

Sounds like you had fun!

Definitely had fun.. and it's nice to be back, as well.

Trolly - Troll-y.. heh heh.. I can see how that would happen!

How's the garden? You've all got one this year? I have been eyeing a patch and then had a survivalist friend come and spend some days here where all she could talk about was where we could put gardens. Heh.

The garden is going wild.... Because I'm not weeding. And the briars have overgrown the trellis and decided to block the path, but other than that, it is doing marvelously! :) It's too hot.

Heat does get in the way. We're in a fairly temperate zone so it hasn't gotten too hot just yet. I finally put shorts on today. Whew! But it is good for the dogs. They are just finally settling into shedding their coats and its hard when we get a sudden hot summer. Hate to see them so hot. :)

Briars... it sounds overgrown and Secret Garden pretty'ish.

Poor puppies, yes, our dog actually went in the water voluntarily today, it was so hot. She ordinarily does not like water at all. Being part poodle, this is strange, but being little and not one for swimming, this is understandable also, because she normally surprises herself with falling in... heh

Being the prairies, we get extremes. I find myself complaining more about heat than cold, but the hot brings thunderstorms, so I can survive it...

Also, sadly, not quite as Secret Gardenish, but still fairly pretty. Dad's managed to get the flowers blooming on a fairly continuous cycle for the ones that only bloom once. And for the perenials, he just has to keep adding fertiliser if he wants more flowers. heh The only problem is it looks like one of our trees has died. Which is sad, because it was an awesome tree.

Awe, you've got thunderstorms! My aunt is in Kansas and she talks of the thunderstorms. They sound fabulous.

That is really something I've always wanted to do, what your dad has managed. To get the timing down for the blooms is a real feat! But the loss of a tree, as well? :( So very sad. I've a lot of hemlock and cedar on the property, but year before last, lost one of my old birch back on the back portion of the pasture. It was really sad. I hate losing trees. I much prefer to plant them! :) Keep trying to put a willow in down where my stream is, but I'm cheap and just keep sticking willow sticks in the ground in hopes that they'll find a good pocket of water and keep on going. No such luck just yet! Also have tried the past three years to set in an American Chestnut. We gather the nuts from a park about seventy miles away and bring them back and try and get them germinating. I will be all happy when I finally get some of them growing here.

Nyah, it is short, but there y'are! :)

Thunderstorms are awesome. Very much so. Although sometimes they shake the house enough for me to go *meep*.

Lol I love willows. There were a few in the schoolyard during grade four and everyone congregated around them and the little bridge and the creek. Sadly, they got old and there was worry that they'd die and break without warning and that their thick branches would squish a kid. Or something, I actually don't know why they cut them down, but they did, and it was such a very sad sight. So I wish you luck in your willow planting endeavours, oh yes I do. We have a weeping birch, it is kind of similar, but it is small and cute. And hides all the weeds I need to get at.... :\

Short is good. Sometimes length is a killer to a moment and the last thing we need do is beat the horse until it can't walk no more.

So how are the thunderstorms treating you? We haven't had many this spring. They tend to show more during the fall here.

And a weeping birch sounds beautiful. As does a garden. I keep staring out at my front yard and wondering if I'd not be better off rota-tilling half of it up and putting in something like radishes and lettuce and corn and tomatoes and the like. I would love to have fresh, out of my own ground food. Of course, then I'd have to work out where to put the horses though when they come to "mow" my lawn. *L* Still - the idea has merit. That and a couple of laying chickens to eat the bugs and feed me eggs.

The thunderstorms kinda ran away after the first three... We haven't had any, over our house at least, since... It's very sad.

Our garden is riddled with ants. But Dad does get a fair yield out of it every year, though most of that is tomatoes.... He really likes tomatoes.

I like your father! God made tomatoes so that us lesser beings might enjoy a taste of heaven. ;)

SO! I'm so sorry! I'm utterly in love with writing with you and it seems I've done everything but respond to your post. It is well past time to right this wrong and as I'm finally home and preparing to leave behind summer and move back into the working classes, I will rectify the issue straight away.

Still! It's been a busy and fun few days. We tried to go to Leavenworth, Washington. However, along the way, one of our tires all but burst quite suddenly. We had to do a quick stopover one hundred fifty miles from our target and wait for the next morning in order to fix it. Then we arrived and I spent the evening in an entertaining pub crawl (we're all far too mellow to make it much of an exaggerated one - we ended it with ice cream as befits collective parents of myriad children aged from nine to twenty). Woke this morning, ran to taste test at a distillery (amazing things the creative can do with vodka), then had a meal before shuttling back onto the highway in order to get to where we were both (my son and I) were needed by this evening. It was sort of a whirlwind tour of the family and much too short, but Leavenworth (if you've not heard of it, it is absolutely gorgeous) was a place I've not visited in almost ten years, so it was a nice treat.

And with that, to that post I go!

Ooooh, that does look like a nice place to visit. Mountains! :P Haha, you've been on a rush, sounds like. No worries about taking your time with posting, not like it's gonna go anywhere. If we're enjoying the rp that's all that matters, doesn't need to be fast. 'Sides, don't think either Hap or Wilhelm know much of the meaning with that word except in the case of emergencies. hehehe

So that took far too long to do.

Now then! I was going to rush in and throw someone down back at the Finger (or a host of someones) who might/might not be chasing down a troll, or perphaps a Keeper or something. Or maybe they're just a delegation to shut down the Reach or....

Honestly, I realized I didn't know what they were doing, so thought I'd throw them out there and see what we might think up? I had originally thought they were a result of Wilhelm's presence. I'm more than willing to just throw something out and see where they go - and you're always welcome to grab and run with whatever so we can create as we go. We've been kind of doing that as it is. *L*

AND! Very cool stuffs. I'm helping my neighbor training his horses. I've been invited to move a pair of mares over to their place (which is really mine, but it's all... confuzzled - they use a good deal of my pasture land) and then can work with them while he works with his. :) It would be FUN. But, more importantly, it's really interesting and I'm always for learning something new.

Things happening around them.... *schemey fingers* Mwahahahahahaha! It could be pretty much anyone couldn't it? We'll see what we're feeling on the moment when they first start causing problems. Because they will cause problems, oho yes, but what those problems are, I haven't the foggiest.Whoo! I love not knowing where things are going. Unless I'm in a car.... Then I'd very much prefer knowing it's following the lines. Yepyepyepyepyepyepyep But sure, toss them in! :) Perchance was that earlier mention of things happening around fingers an already made mention?

Ooooh, horsies! That sounds awesome! And fun! And most wondrously enjoyable for a learning experience. :) Have fun with that yissyissyiss, and updates! Yes. :D Share with me the process!

Forgive the silence here... Work's back in full swing and it will take a while to get the balance back right. :) But I shall fix this post up and put some folk in which you are more than welcome to add to - as I've no bloomin' idea what they're doing there, other than they're likely looking for Wilhelm? Maybe? That sound good? Who knows! We'll make it up as we go along! It's a lighthouse, after all! I mean, SHEESH! Besides, I've Ducky, personified, as a companion in this, so it really cannot go wrong. :)

Have them looking for something, but don't mention specifics yet, and depending on if we get ideas later, we'll think up something, or go with troll. Yerpyerp :D You don't know how horribly cheshire catty I am grinning at my screen right now. Ducky personified... *gigglesnorts* That makes me more awesome than I am. :P

We cannot go wrong~

I'm sorry that took me so long! I was waffling between different responses from Wilhelm and just grrrrr, my brain did not want to work on it. But there y'are. Hopefully it works for ya. If you need more, just let me know, I can probably provide it.
