[IC] Soul Eater: Shadow Dragons

Wolf was heading to her fathers office, wondering why he called her back. She had been tailing a witch for two weeks then out of no where he calls her back. She moved her hair out of her face as she walked past some of the students, her long hair wiping behind her. She headed up the stairs, wondering what her father was thinking. Then she thought "is father not feeling well again?" She started almost running down the hallway, barely missing running head long into dr. Stein and Spirit as she burst into the office of death

"Father? Are you alright?"

[Miraboreasu]

"Fine, fine," Lord Death said. "Actually, I need you and Rex here to..." He glanced past his daughter. "Um... where is he?"
"Fashionably late, sir," he responded, coming in.

Wolf sighed and rested her hands on her hips. "I was tracking the witch dad. What's so important? I almost had her" she looked at Rex and said "and wasn't Rex working on tracking down something too?" She looked at Rex and said "glad to see you in one piece"

"Pft, it'll take a lot more to kill me," said Rex. Death cleared his throat.
"Now, I called you here for a reason," he said. "Our war with Arachnophobia is going well, but we need an edge at all times."
"Lord Death, I think we have an edge already: the Death Scythes."

Wolf nodded and said "I agree with both of you, but what more can be done? We are spread thin. I mean, we can't keep sending kids into ear zones. Last week I barely got that team from getting killed because they didn't know they were tailing a witch, not a Kishen." She moved over to her fathers side and said "so I think you have a better idea?"

[Miraboreasu]

"I do," said Death. "Rex, you're familiar with anything and everything related to war and tactics, correct?"
"That hurts, Lord Death," said Rex. "But yes, I do."
"When facing an enemy of equal or greater strength, what would you do?" Rex scratched his chin.
"Examine the enemy for each and every weakness, or whatever's supporting them, and strike before my enemy knows what's hit him." He paused. "I think I know where you're going with this."

Wolf looked at her father and said "sadly, I'm going on no sleep so you might need to speak plainly for me..." She looked at Rex and said "plain English please?"

"We find what's fueling Arachnophobia-- money, equipment, et cetera-- and take them out."
"Precisely," said Lord Death.
"But how do you suggest we go about doing this?"
"Simple: a group of elite Meisters and Weapons sent out to destroy these supports."

Wolf raised an eyebrow and said "father...your meaning work in a team. You know my...preferred style of fighting. I work alone" she folded her arms. "Who were you thinking for this team?"

[Miraboreasu]

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves," said Death. "I'm confident that Meister and Weapon pairs can handle most missions, so it would be few and far between that you'd work with more than one person."
"That's our Lone Wolf," chuckled Rex. Death raised a hand, glowering.
"What was that?!"
"Nothing!"

Wolf nodded and said "that's fine with me...wait, this still means I'm...." She looked at Rex then back at her father. "I don't need a weapon, father. I can handle any of the missions on my own"

[Miraboreasu]

"Sorry, but it's policy," said Death. "Besides, you're my daughter. I know you're a Reaper, but I still want you to have backup. In this case, Rex."
"What?" Rex asked. "Surely, you're joking!"
Death slammed a Reaper Chop into Rex's head. "Firstly, I'm not. Secondly, don't call me Shirley."
"It's more effective if you warn first..."

Wolf sighed and said "dad, I don't need back up. I've taken down a lot on my own. Besides, I have my powers as a reaper and my shadow pack. And no one has resounded their soul to mine like Bane...."

[Miraboreasu]

"That's the thing about Rex," said Death. "He can resonate with any other Soul type."
"I can thank Excalibur for that," Rex said, grimacing at the mention. "He found me, an orphaned baby. He broight me to the DWMA and gave me a gift: a taliwman that adjusts my Soul Wavelength to another person's."

Wolf glared at Rex for a moment then sighed "if it's what you wish father then so be it..." She leaned against his desk, looking tired. She rubbed her nose and said "I will go where you send me, with whoever you send with me...." She looked beat, she had been on the hunt for months

"Well, it sounds fun," said Rex, grinning. "Certainty of death... small chance of success... the hell're we waiting for?"
"Assignments," answered Death.

[MegaraFoxfire]

Wolf looked at her father, running her fingers thru her hair. "I can leave right now..." She should go and get sleep but she was stubborn, and never really took her own health to concern

[Miraboreasu]

"Maybe," suggested Rex, "we could run a test mission? Just to see how we fight together."
"Hm..." said Death. "What do you think, Wolf?"

Wolf rubbed her eyes again and said "fine fine....sounds like a plan. Any high level missions you would like us to take a look at?"

[Miraboreasu]

"I can think of several," said Death.
"Make it something difficult," pleaded Rex. "Something worthy of taking on for a Reaper and a badass like myself."
"How about Costa Rica?"
