I actually have a necklace Logan is going to give her before they start dating when he starts working up his nerve. I hope its her style because I don't want to show you yet.

They can come onto land, their tails dry out and become legs, but like you said the longer they are on land the harder it gets for them to breath. The longest they could stay out is like a week. I also see their speech being kind of weird. Like they would talk differently than land creatures.
