Alright, sounds workable. Japan volunteered because they had their shit together better than some other countries did- besides, it's good to know who's got their fingers on nuclear arsenals, right?

Maybe Japanese teams are also in Beijing, Moscow, and Pyongyang trying to figure out who's in charge of those arsenals, now that I'm thinking about it.

Hypersnip!

Might not last though, but who knows? My idea is that Japan being an island nation, they could've moved to the more deserted islands, such as Hokkaido, which is actually huge, and cold and sparsely populated, which is a great advantage. The main islands would be left to rot though.

But of course, it's a little early for that. It's still a mess if it's only 2 weeks.

Yeah, I would assume the large cities like Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and of course Greater Tokyo have been pretty much written off- too densely packed, literally millions of zombies there.

Name:
Tristan Locastro
Appearance:

Age:
30
Gender:
Male
Occupation:
Software Engineer
Hobbies:
Software, game, and web developing – basically, he loves computers. He is also an apt, self-taught electrician. He isn't certified and certainly isn't a master, but anything is better than nothing, is it not?
Values:
Logic, order, and fairness are the most important things to him. Without logic, order will never be achieved; without order, civilization will crumble into chaos. And of course, what is the point of having society at all if that society isn't fair to its population?
Goal:
Get a solar powered (or similar) power grid operational, and for it to reliably work with minimal issues. Additionally, he would love to get a republic going – it is foolish to let the gullible, unintelligent masses vote directly on important matters, and it is suicide to trust a single person with total control. A group of trustworthy, competent men (or women) voted into power by the masses, however, is good.
Associated NPCs:
N/A
History:
Tristan is a man who doesn't always voice his opinion; if he doesn't have an adequate understanding on the subject, or simply has nothing of note to add, then he won't. When he does weigh in, however, he is logical, and thinks through what he says carefully. His strong sense of logic is probably what led him to become a software engineer. He was in the office working as usual, when suddenly his life flipped upside down: everyone in the office was dead, and when he got home, so was his family. Well, until they got back up and tried to eat him, that is. Fortunately, his wife went for the dog first (poor thing), allowing him time to grab the gun from his safe and escape. He decided it'd be a good idea to go somewhere relatively remote – less people, less dead bodies trying to eat his brain. He joined a group of refugees and, well, here they are.

Someone else with an infrastructure project, eh? And in favor of an oligarchy, as well. Should be interesting. Accepted!

Name: Amelia DuPont

Appearance:

Age: 32

Gender: Female

Occupation: Junior Operations Co-ordinator for the US Office of Naval Intelligence

Hobbies: Advancing her career, keeping fit with activities such as sailing, judo, yoga and tennis, networking with likeminded individuals, reading.

Values: Ambition, Innovation, Focus and Accomplishment mean a lot to Amelia. She is a very driven woman and can often overlook what consequences her actions have on other people.

Goal: To see if she can re-establish a US navy chain of command, preferably with her at the very top. Anywhere on the ground isn’t safe now, however USNS Comfort has enough fortitude and resources to make a fine base camp for a small group with a bit of preparation. Until she’s figured out what her exact plan is however she’s content to try and influence a group into helping her achieve her goals by achieving theirs.

History: Born as the youngest of two into a privileged but dysfunctional Maryland family, the only skill Amelia seemed to pull through college was a determination to be the best. It didn’t matter what at, but she had to get to the top. Her father managed to get her a job at ONI purely based on his years of successful field work.

Amelia was using a rare piece of holiday time to visit her brother who manages the accounts for an aerospace corporation based out of Wichita.
