@UltikanaRe I notice that the area circled on your nation sheet doesn't exist on the map you gave. One of the two is out of date, you should probably fix that ^^

@UltikanaRe Let me rephrase. The "Aeride Sea", present on your nation sheet, is nonexistent on the full map. Furthermore, although I may just be overlooking it, I can't even find the geography in your sheet, anywhere on the map.

Hey if you don't like something don't take it out on my gm'd, i like the map.

@McHaggis Don't you know this isn't supposed to be just like earth. Different planet can have different geography aspects.

@TheMaster99
Can't differet cultures have different names for small things. im pretty sure in different languages things are named differently.

^ Seconded. This is your show so it's up to you, but I personally would use your generator to generate the continents only, and rework all the grasslands, deserts, etc. yourself in photoshop, and manually place the forests, mountains, etc. It makes a very hard edge on the arctics, and that needs to be smoothed out imo. And the deserts aren't very realistic, as @McHaggis mentioned. Just disable 'Geography' on the generator (I found it on google) and the rest will just be photoshop.

Again, it's up to you though. I can't force you to do anything a certain way, I can just recommend it. I'd even volunteer to rework the map myself, if you'd like.

Edit: Ninja'd. Will respond in a minute.

I know where he put his claim and i accepted where he put it. He just put a map of just the contents and place holder names. Which may not be the real names yet. You guys where demanding a map so he gave you the one we were working on.

@Song Book

I have no problem with different cultures having different names for things. But when the topography used in his sheet literally does not exist on the full map, I do have a problem with that. All I did was point out that mistake for him to correct, and you decided to respond with passive aggression, and condescension. Do you expect me to be sorry for giving constructive feedback? Sorry, but I'm not, and never will be.

You say you know where he put his claim. Feel free to point out where it lies on the full map, but I promise you that it does not exist. If the map is not final, then why lay claims? Is it not better to wait until the map is finalized to lay claims, instead of claim areas that no longer exist?

@McHaggis and I are just trying to help, and you refuse to even listen to what we have to say. With all due respect, that isn't a good quality to have in a GM.

Is it alright if I wait for the others to plot out their political borders before I plan my own?

Alright, this is turning into a fight.
The sea in my map is a sub-sea of the Greater Sea of Tyon. I used the same map, just zoomed. For further reference, I control the tropics of Anitaza. I specifically put my nation on a blank version of the map as to avoid labels getting in the way of my cities. I will post that blank map soon.

@UltikanaRe Okay, I have finally found it on the map. I apologize for the confusion, although IMO you should have just said that to begin with.

I still don't appreciate how the GM treated @McHaggis and I, and every other suggestion still stands.

Actually, he/she seemed respectful compared to you senselessly calling me out. Just a hint of problem solving suggests that it does exist, yet you call me out. I said the one I was using was political, and thus lacked physical names. I thought that would interfere with my city labels. If you had searched for anything over a minute, then you would have saved this OOC an argument. Instead you tried to be 'constructive'.
Also, that took me over an hour to label and I am not redoing it.

@UltikanaRe I'm not disagreeing that not seeing it was my fault - I thought for some reason that it was zooming in much more than it actually was, so the area kind of hid in plain sight - I wasn't looking for big areas, so I overlooked it. That was my fault, and I won't deny that.

Furthermore, what I said prior to the GM stepping in was:

I notice that the area circled on your nation sheet doesn't exist on the map you gave. One of the two is out of date, you should probably fix that ^^

And after that,

Let me rephrase. The "Aeride Sea", present on your nation sheet, is nonexistent on the full map.

Both were nothing close to "calling you out", and my statement that the "Aeride Sea" doesn't exist on the full map was 100% accurate. All you had to say from the beginning was that it was a subsea of Tyon, and that would have been the end of it. Instead you said you used a blank map on purpose, without actually pointing out where your empire was located. Due to my oversight (again, my fault), and the fact that you didn't actually point it out, it wasn't unreasonable to suggest that it wasn't there - and the GM didn't make any attempt to show where it was, either. I won't say either of you were at fault for my failure to see the area, but I'd be lying if I said that a simple, proper explanation wouldn't have ended the argument before it began.

Also, that took me over an hour to label and I am not redoing it.

You'll notice that I offered to redo the map myself, to resolve all the issues presented by the map generator's faults. I'd even maintain it with up-to-date political borders, to avoid the same confusion that started this argument in the future.
