[IC] Companion Pet Shop

[Aisling]

Lady Mystique soon came back and sat down in a chair.
"Please tell me about the pet that you wish to have. After that I shall see if I have a pet that might be suitable for you. Let's start with the type of pet...... Are you looking for a canine, feline, avian, reptilian or what? Unless you know the exact name of the one that you wish to have. There are many creatures out there and most of the world do not even know half of what actually exists out there." she began as a small deer like creature wanders into the room.



"Take this little guy. He is a vampire deer. Quite interesting looking creature, isn't he?" Lady Mystique spoke as she scratched its head.

James thought about it for a moment and didn't even know what kind of pet he wanted. He then looked over at the little deer "hmm... That's very interesting, do tell me more about him?" He asked

[Aisling]

"Vladd is of the muskdeer family. An herbivore and very gentle. He is not for sale or lease. I do not have any others and this little guy was abused when I allowed him to be leased. He IS NOT NORMAL NOW." Lady Mystique spoke firmly.
"The last owner had a party and used him against the contract. The man dribbled fake blood on Vladd's face to make Vladd look like a real vampire deer. For the party, the guy then dressed up like he had been bit by Vladd."

He nodded and thought about it again "I think I would like a lizard of some kind. Tell me, do you have a Galapagos iguana?" he asked. He had always wanted one of those and would love to see if she had one of those in stock.

[Aisling]

"I have a very young one. IT is its name because until the Galapagos iguana reach the sexual maturity age, one can't tell its gender. May I see your application, please..... 1) How long you wish to keep the pet: two months…..acceptable if well cared for.
2) Kind of bed: a king size bed- not suitable for any lizards.
3) Toys: a tennis ball- not suitable for any lizards
4) Collar and leash: none- city ordinance dictates all pets to be on a leash.
5) Food: will be well fed- what kind of food?
6) Time spent with pet on a regular basis: 8 hours a day - not suitable for any lizards
7) Outings with the pet: once in a while- fine
8) Grooming: not many- needs weekly complete check over
9) Is the pet going to be a working pet?: sometimes- what kind of jobs? Not many jobs are suitable for any lizards
10) If so, what kind of job?: a partner in many jobs- see above
11) Extra compensation?: yes- what kind?
12) Other: none

I am not sure that you would qualify for an exotic animal…..
If you could tell me about the jobs that you will need the pet for, I could help you more. I have a few very unusual companion style pets that could work….” Lady Mystique spoke as she handed the form back.

He shrugged a little "alright look I've never really owned an exotic pet before alright. I'm more used to fish and whatnot, but anyway, I'm just looking for something to help me with a few jobs that require manual labor such as moving things around and the like. Think you have anything like that?" he asked

[Aisling]

"Yes, I do have a couple. There are creatures that are.... let's say human like. What you might want is a gorilla or perhaps one of my loaners that are specialized in various things of which I have no idea of. Please follow me to another room where you may speak with a few that might work with you. What ever it is that you wish to do, I do not want to know." Lady Mystique spoke firmly as she walked to a sliding panel which she opened then turned away and left the panel open.
"As far as I am concerned, you have left with no pet. All you need to do is to make your own arrangements with one of them."

He nodded and followed her to the room looking around at the many animals around. Then he turned back her "what kind of animals are these again?" He asked still looking around at them.

[Aisling]

"Lady Mystique is gone. You will deal with us now." A were tiger spoke calmly as he lounged on a beat up old sofa.
"What kind of services do you wish?" came from a purrrring feline nearby.
"Just remember that some of us prefer action to words." a gorilla spoke gruffly.
A lion was leaning against a wall not too far away and was silent.

He had turned around and closed his eyes tightly then opened them in almost complete disbelief that the animals were talking. He didn't even know where to begin let alone know what these animals could do. He hesitantly began to speak "umm... I'm looking for... For a very strong bull... One that has super strength... Good at carrying heavy loads and doesn't mind manual labor" he said waiting for a response.

[Aisling]

They all look at each other then the weretiger spoke once more.

"That would be very costly first off and at the moment there are no bulls. Unless Fernando happens to come back. His contract ended last night." he spoke.
"The last job was a hundred grand plus expenses. He does enjoy a lot of very good grass with a bit of clover and flowers thrown in. My suggestion is think it over then come back tomorrow the back way at let's say at closing time?"

He had listened to the weretiger speak and thought about it. "Damn..." he muttered to himself as he really wanted a bull. Then the tiger made a suggestion to him about coming back tomorrow. He could do that or rent another animal pet from this place but there weren't any he had in mind. So he nodded and replied "alright, tomorrow it is" he said then walked out and back to the front counter of the pet shop.

[Aisling]

Fernando happen to come in slightly tipsy.
"Hello everyone. Did I hear my name?" he spoke with a thick Spanish accent.

"Yeah. He wants to hire you." the weretiger spoke as he jerked his finger towards the back of the guy who just left.

"'k. Gonna go sleep this off." Fernando ambled off to his room.

The shop door was closed and the owner was not around to be seen,

He went home that night still wondering if he really needed a pet to work with him. But he would do what the tiger said and come back tomorrow at closing time. In the meantime he would give the daughter the certificate then slept it off. The next day, he came back at closing time and went the back way like he was told and knocked on the door waiting.

[Aisling]

The panel slid open revealing a darken hallway with various animal noises coming from inside. If he was to go down the hall to the end where the light was, he would see a few werecretures lounging about.

He saw the door open and had begun walking down the hallway hearing the creatures move about but they didn't seem to acknowledge him. He was confused "um... Hello? Is anybody here? I'm back like I was told to, after closing" he said waiting for a response.

[Aisling]

"Can't you find the way here?" a familiar voice spoke out.
"Fernando is here if you wish to speak to him!"

Inside the room were quite a few new faces- a cyclops and a centaur were playing a game of poker, a Minotaur who was wearing a sombero and a griffin who was preening. The weretiger was dressed up in a suit and the black panther was dressed in a long silky dress.

He walked in and his eyes went wide seeing the creatures of legend in real life speaking to him. Though as much as they intrigued him, he sought the bull. He looked around for the bull "Fernando? Where is he?" he asked

[Aisling]

The Minotaur spoke up
"It is I. I am called Fernando. I am part bull and part human. What kind of a job do you want done?"

He looked at him surprised and replied "well, I've been looking for an animal of some kind that can pull some heavy items as well as some lifting, do you think you can meet those requirements?" he asked having a lot of questions on his mind.
