This is an interest check for a roleplay set in the Alien universe. Roleplayers in the RP will assume the roles of a battalion of space marines sent to a colony world which has gone dark under extremely mysterious circumstances. After arrival on the world the group will investigate what exactly happened on the colony. What they find will almost certainly spell their doom.
First things first, this RP will be most heavily influenced by the second film, James Cameron's Aliens. While influence will also be taken from the first film. That will be about it, treat 3 and Resurrection as they never existed (I do anyway). Ripley will also not be making an appearance, though she may be discussed. This story is all about the extremely marines.
There will be bundles upon bundles of blood, gore, violence and swearing. Also horrifying scenes brought to you with extreme details. Character death is a high possibility, as will the chance of getting 'picked' by a facehugger. I intend for an ending to the RP if we reach it, though I haven't gotten that far along with the plotline.
The story itself is still in the under creation, in the early stages though I don't intend to have the RP up tommorow. I'd like to see some interest, and it wouldn't hurt to have a co-GM, if anyone would like that position then please speak up about it. The more knowledge of the Alien universe, the better.
So anyone up for some good old fashion, acid blood sprayin', chestburstin' fun?
