[OOC] Supers and Assassins (Gritty Superhero/ villain RP)

Kind of an animal trainer. This is what I was thinking.

My character would be able talk to and make bonds with up to two animals. The bond would have some ups and downs. When he makes a bond part of his soul/life-force trades with part of the animals soul. The ups and downs only effect the ones that are connected. So the human sends to the animal/s but the animal/s only go to the human. The upside is because of how close they are they have a understanding of what the other is thinking on the surface. Meaning they can work almost seamless in a fight. He can also heal light wounds them if he can touch the spot. The downside is some of the pain that one feels is sent to the others. So if the human was stabbed they would feel it in a similar place and it could mess up an action they were about to do. If one of the animals died it would result in their soul diapering from the human causing him great pain and shock.

That's a bit different than Knighthawk's, so it could work. Do they get traits from the other due to the soul transference? For example, the animals get more clever, and the human gets more animalistic? I'm only asking because animal spirit type powers generally have an effect like that.

Yes. The animals would be more knowledgeable and he would be more animalistic.

Ok, cool. that could work. If you want to add other buffs when certain animals are used (ex: eagles give you super vision, some lizards let you see infrared, dogs give you a better sense of smell and hearing, etc.) that would work too, though that's just an option/ possible expansion path for your power.

Theoretically, but I hadn't planed any and they'd be weaker than humans. Also, they'd need trauma to bring it out, so unless your pet was used in dog fights or beaten by a former master, they likely wouldn't get them. Even then, the kind of power is somewhat limited. It would likely be stat buffs.

Personal issue: Heavily bullied growing up and had no friends. Ran away from home hoping to find a better life.
Power: Soul bonding.

-Soul bonding: He is able to bond with animals. When bonded they can share surface thoughts and he can heal himself and the animals he is bonded with to some degree. They can also feel some of the pain the others are feeling. The animals are more knowledgeable than their counter parts and the Jordan tends be be a little more animalistic. The ups and downs only effect the ones that are connected. So Jordan sends to the animals but the animals only go to Jordan.

Giant lizard that looks kind of like this. About the size of a husky(Weight 55 pounds, Height 2 feet). Makes a semi corrosive bile to help eat food and can be used to attack enemies. Limited use of Bile.

Personality: Jordan tends to be quiet and reserved and likes to talk to his family more then anyone else. He is more relaxed when he is just around his family. He puts their thoughts and feelings above anyone and will do anything to help them. While he doesn't like most people he won't hurt someone unless he or his family feel threatened.

Bio: Jordan lived in a small town in what might as well of been in the middle of nowhere. When he started going to school is when his life started to get worse. He wasn't sure why but he just ended up the odd man out. No matter what he tried his life didn't get any better. After a failed suicide attempt he started hearing other animals. He started spending as much of his time on the outskirts of town and that is how he meet an injured Jasmine. From that point on he would spend as much time helping and feeding her as he could. After she was healed he packed his bag and left his home town with Jasmine. After traveling for a long time he came across a city but the two was now three. He has spent the last few months at the edge of the city doing whatever it took to survive.

Equipment: Machete, lighter, some spare clothes, hoodie, and a few other small things.

@Trevor1001do you have a backstory for the mutant lizard? Your bio just says that it joined you. How did it get powers? Or was it some sort of experiment?

I was going to have that explained in character but if you want I can add it too. The bile isn't a power he just has it to help eat and for defense. Spiders also do this.
