"When can you see them? Only when you have your heart attacks? Or other times?"

[CountDracula]

@Aisling Toma shook his head. "Only when my heart stops. That's why it's called a near death experience: You experience it when you are near to death."

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"Oh,ok. Thank you Toma for explaining. I appreciate you helping me understand." Mystique spoke as she rested her eyes and held onto Count's hand.

[CountDracula]

@Aisling Toma smiled. "I like helping others." Just then, Dracula opened his eyes. "How are you?" his father asked with a soft voice. "Dizzy..." Dracula answered.

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"I am afraid that you lost a lot of blood, Count Dracula. it will take some time before you will be strong again." Mystique opened her eyes and looked at the Count. She still was holding his hand.

[CountDracula]

@Aisling Dracula sighed. "Nothing new to me... being closer to death than to life."

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"Well, I am not used to be close to death. But I am glad that you are more alive than dead to me."

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "There were like a thousand times that I almost died," Dracula said. "When I was a child, for example, I almost drowned, and it is only because of Ioan that I'm still here." @Aisling The father shook his head. "15 minutes is way too quick. There are people who have been revived for five hours, and they survived it without any severe brain damage. And brain damage doesn't always start after such a short time. Usually, it starts after three minutes without any circulation, but depending on your body temperature, that time span can increase to up to thirty mintues. As I said, Vladi was cold, and CPR keeps the blood circulating at rates of about 33 per cent of its normal rate. That's why CPR is so important: Not because it makes the heart beat - it doesn't in most cases - but because it prevents brain damage."

"I guess that the course I took told me wrong. They did say if the body was in an icy pond, people have lived......" Mystique looked puzzled.

@Aisling "Ice is a good conservative, and it allows the brain to survive without oxygen for longer, but you couldn't go and revive the Iceman," Dracula explained. "And people whose hearts have stopped for longer than a few minutes are likely to have suffered brain damage. I am no exception. @Aisling "I guess so, but nobody knows it exactly," Dracula answered and smiled a bit. "It seems like the soul is something that just doesn't want to be examined by us."
