I feel like I was. I never had the advantages of other children. A family to go home to, siblings to do things with, stuff like that but it doesn't matter any more.

@Aisling "That's sad..." the father said. "What I meant was that I think that either a good mother figure or a good father figure should be enough. - At least, I never had a mother figure..."

That old? A number that I can't fathom.... I'll see way too many things in my life time, won't I? People that I know will die and I'll meet more new people who will eventually die and the circle goes on and on.....

@Aisling "Depends on how you define 'too many'," the father answered. "I am 621 years old now. The oldest known person alive, but I can't say that I've seen far too many things. Most people you meet will die before you, yes. But once you've accepted death, it won't be that hard any more. I sometimes am sad when someone dies because I know he didn't want to die, and I feel sorry for him... that's the only reason why I'm sad when people leave before me."

I see.... I wonder if I will one day be more like you. I like doing things and being a vampire will allow me to enjoy doing more things, right?

@Aisling "Right. That's a good way of seeing it," the father answered.

Now is what I would call a grand adventure! How will we grow our own blood? It would be fun to plan won't it? So many things to think about and plan for, right loan?

@Aisling "Only time - whatever that may be - can tell us," Ioan answered. "Maybe we could get there through wormholes. The chances are small, but it's not impossible."

True but sometimes I like to fantasize and this will exercise my brain quite well.

Maybe.... I'd have to have a bit more schooling to know where to start. But I can do that too.
