Image Uploading Cheat

For the last couple days I been trying to use the image thing to post pictures of several rps I am setting up in PM and in threads. I have tried a good few times and each of them failed. The last time I was able to get it work was two days ago.

i use the colder in the toggle cheat sheet the recent image I tried using and one of the rare time it works I tried using this on another rp and it was just a link

@LunaA good way to check is to go to the URL and make sure it's the image's URL not the web page's URL. Which sometimes happens. If you go to the web page, manually copy the image's url if it auto generates one on the web page.

I do open the image and it doesn't take me to a website like most and I make sure not to use ones from websites where the url won't work. Could it be that my iPad reacts different to this than a computer would

I'd think it would work the same. Even on my phone I can copy image's urls.

That's all I got. If it still doesn't work, I'm not sure why since the url you showed, worked.

But when I try it on other things it doesn't. In my Hetalia thing if you look I did the chest right but still appeared as a link with the eh cheat surrounding it

the bit you wrote above, [img]i58.tinypic.com/[/img], does not appear to be a specific image link, but rather a link to the site the image was found upon. Seeing how you're based on a tablet, we can't say with 100% certainty what the means are for getting the right URL, but it could be if you hold on the image you want long enough, it'll give a pop-up box with a few options. At least that's how it is on android.

Hmmmm...I will keep trying. It always worked weather I was on an iPad or co,outer and now it's not working. I try to fix it six times before I finally move on to something else.

This is indeed the problem. A proper image URL ends with extensions like .png, .jpg or .gif. The [img][/img] tags don't work if the URL you entered doesn't refer directly to the image.

@Luna, something you could try is downloading the image you want to link to and uploading it to imgur.com, a different website host. After uploading, you can choose from several different URLs to copy to your clipboard and one of them is the "Direct Link" URL. Put that between the [img][/img] tags and it's guaranteed to work.
