Yes you can, but keep in mind that your character will be subject to taking orders from the unit officer--an individual of lower class. In social status your character will be higher in class, but in the unit that won't matter due to rank.

Also, your character can certainly be an aloof jerk due to their class, but don't expect to be able to boss other players around. Just thought I'd add that in.

Ah, that was never my plan, it was more about being educated and having a thing for ancient (earth era) history.

Nevertheless I think won't be participating in this RP anymore, I really wanted to, but considering my schedule in the upcoming weeks it will be hard.

How Mecha focused will this be? I've not done one before as they are generally not my thing. Is it going to be small one-time instances of YETI use? or will they be the major focus of the combat scenes?

It's going to be a mix of espionage, combat, and general action/adventure. There will be YETI battles, but not all the time.

That actually excites me more. I like mecha action, but I'm all about some good character action. A nice mix sounds up my alley. I was wondering if we would be in YETIs most of the time too.

Is it alright if we refer to oscillating blades as O-blades? Furthermore, what sort of shape is standard issue spec-ops fare? I'm partial to a kukri or combat knife design myself, if only to avert the 'infinitely sharp' katana trope.

I wouldn't worry too much about the POCs, I'm working under the assumption that any HRES, exo-suits or POCs we'll be assigned will be by a mission to mission basis. Think of it like if you drove an APC around, sure you may be assigned to that particular vehicle (and be responsible for it), but if you install some underlighting you're going to end up in hot water.

YETI doesn't stand for anything. I admit, the name choice was purely because I thought it sounded cool. And yes, you can call the oscillating blades 0-blades. Feel free to use that type of language throughout the RP; it's what everyone in the real world does will everything, so it fits here. Also, as far as the standard spec-ops shape, I would say there is none. The cool thing about being spec-ops is that you are expected to operate with a lot more specialized, unique equipment.

It's a good problem to have. I'm going to go ahead and close the RP to more applicants, with the exception of @Noxious. No need to double up, my friend; there's plenty of room down in front.
