If Kurama was witnessing this from the spectator point of view, he'd probably need to see him kiss her to sell it, and that's just him being honest. However, the plebs at his school would probably believe Shuichi simply because he's not a liar or pretender. No one's actually seen him with a girl before so they won't know how to respond to things once he does actually hold Botan.

Well, if the feelings do become real, then technically there's nothing they should feel bad about anymore right? I'm betting for a while there some closeted guys were REALLY hoping Kurama didn't like women like he might have liked men. If Kurama and Botan must convince them, a small display of intense affection will be necessary. In what form I don't know, but they must keep each other's honor in mind. Maybe they do something as if they don't know people are watching but they do and it's like "ENJOY THE SHOW FUCKERS!"
