@ImportantNobody - Is there anything about the soldier's wounds that can lend credence to Ludmilla's claims of dragons, something a student of the arcane could analyze?

Well first let's set aside the fact that the wounds are physical, not magical in nature. The only wounds he had received upon entering were a "large gash on his shoulder" and several superficial wounds, plus torn clothing and armor. Assuming the marks are torn rather than sliced, as with a sharp sword, that's still not enough info to rule out anything other than a large beast (or a vicious humanoid) but that still leaves pretty much any possibility that isn't a guy with a sword. Interestingly, any burn wounds are absent, so he must have bailed before the dragon used its breath attack.

Now, all this doesn't matter because he just had a large oak table broken over his head. Oak's a pretty sturdy wood. So the force we're talking about here, landing directly from above, would cause quite a bit of damage. We're talking a fractured if not shattered skull, broken vertebrae, collarbone, and other fractures throughout the body. The splintered bones would likely stick out, further mangling the flesh and making it harder to tell when the wounds were received.

I do not know the size of the dragon and whether its talons are inherently magical, or the manner in which metal armour (ignoring the softness of silver) was torn into, hence my reason for asking.

Why would talons be inherently magical?

I am sorry for missing the introductory part, school was a bitch the past two days... I'll work on my post now and try to get into it somehow.

EDIT
Well, I did what I could. Thanks to Lisa for offering me a contrasting, holy character as a plot device. :-)

P.S.
Kodor and Goffrey are awesome.

You guys tell me when you want the plot to proceed with your adversary.

All you can tell is a large, thick, slashing object wounded him. The broken neck can be assumed to be from kodor.

I do not know why the parts of a fantasy creature would not be inherently magical. They need not be, but I do not see any fault in asking when there is little or no information. Doing so reduces conflicting intentions, and it limits the absurdity in some of the choices the characters will make.

Someone arrives--in hilarious fashion--talking about a dragon coming their way and my character will not have the slightest inclination to investigate before deciding whether to fight it? Yeah... he will be doing that when appropriate, respectfully of course. I prefer metafiction but... well, Punk is awesome.

@ImportantNobody I'm ready to move on whenever everyone else is. I feel that the interaction between us three in the forest won't really go anywhere anytime soon.

But was he awesome enough to main event Wrestlemania?

As for the point of moving forward on with the dragon, yes that would probably be a good idea.

I guess we decide what adventure we want next, and the person who suggested it gets to run?

I wanted to see if it was okay with the GM first, but my character has engaged in metafiction twice already: comments on the barbarian's attire and the sudden slaying of someone who could have helped them prepared. There will be more to come. As for him bailing, that depends on it plays out. He might be headed in the direction of the dragon and forced back, or he might be driven to help because healer.

Maybe he will be convinced to stay. I don't know.

@Blight Bug

He did something even greater... he reminded Vince about those ice cream bars.

I'll post as the dragon later tonight. I have some anime to catch up on and such. Boku no Hero Academia is awesome.
