You guys are super fast posting. I'm working on mine now. I won't be able to post as fast as you, but should get the plot moving in a timely fashion.

My post will come after a few others do their thing. I want to my character to make some observations without posting multiple times.

Perhaps it would be beneficial to everyone to understand where exactly your character is observing from, especially considering that only two posts earlier "every sinew in his frame [was] intent on finding the nearest town or city" instead of sticking around. Observation is certainly not finding the nearest town or city.

I feel obligated to ask why you were talking about "time to prepare" two pages ago, and you said "what took [the dragon] so long" which implies the dragon actually took time to get to the inn, but you really only gave us what amounted to a couple of IC minutes. What was your exposition going to be in the first place anyway?

You also seem to have flat-out ignored what preperations there were and on top of that the 40-foot-tall dragon has apparently stealthed past the paladin and the ent or teleported into the clearing or something given how nobody saw or heard it coming until it was already practically in the clearing.

@Sigurd Oh yeah, just so you know, the barbarian is not actively at the offering pyre. The only one right there is the peasant. The barbarian is camouflaged in brush a bit away from the flaming corpse and meats.

The dragon taking a couple minutes more than the man is what took so long. The exposition was replaced by what the witch said, who took his job after you guys Killed him.

I did my post from the perspective of the barkeep first seeing it and it's first roar. There's nothing that would imply he stealthily warped past other people who might have seen him first, unless you mean he should have been stopped to fight them before he got to the clearing, thus interrupting my last part of the post.

I won't be posting until we see the result of Geoffrey's appeal to the dragon. It affects three characters (Nariana, Kodor, and Geoffrey) and, due to the pyre, is something that would be immediately noticeable to the dragon.

You mentioned not being able to post as quickly as we were the other night. If I may, I'd like to give a bit of advice on how to speed things up for you. Simplicity is beautiful - don't try to pack responses to ten posts into a single megapost. Since the action has arrived, shorter posts will move the plot faster. On top of that, it'll make your job easier. You're writing for a one-on-six fight (and later possibly a one-on-ten), so if you wait for everything before posting your posts will become mountains of work. Shorter posts will be faster and easier to write, and allow a lot more interaction for characters like mine, which predominantly find openings to exploit.

That would require me to be on the forum for longer stretches of time to reply to all the post coming in (and any coming in the afternoon wouldn't get around to until tomorrow morning anyways), so the megapost would be the easiest for me to do. Since you guys are a fast posting bunch and me only like twice or three times a week normally, if you guys think it will slow everyone down, I am perfectly willing to have another game master help out if they desire to do posts as the dragon.

Having read the recent IC posts, I see we're going with the stealth dragon approach and not this just being the first appearance as seen from the inn. XD

Fine, I'll embrace the stealth dragon and turn that into a canon dragon type to cover this slip up of mine. This will be a hard enemy to fight in the future.

I sent a pm to scrapula, so feel free to post any time as the dragon to keep things going at the current pace. For some reason my computer keeps doing these long updates and failure configuring a that take it hours. I could have still done a post on my phone, but I like the scrapula plan.

If there is any confusion about the time of my character's arrival, he returns shortly afterward the rampage begins as he was never far to begin with. He was probably 200-300 meters away.

Ah, no. Sorry, I didn't make that clear. The dragon shook its head, closed its eyes, and began charging. I'll have a post out and about soon.

And how do these inventory rules work, anyway? Am I stuck with what is on the character sheet, or do I update it as I go along?

@CrystalCHTriple Tinctures are just alcohol and plant extracts, though. If you want magic potions you should put "magic potions" so everyone understands from the outset what they are. When you do this sort of thing it feels like you're just pulling stuff out of your ass.

Also, just as a side note, a small axe is just a hatchet. "Wood axe" implies your character is hauling a felling axe around with him.
