"I'll keep that in mind," Adelfa said thankfully. She didn't think her driving skills weren't up to par with half the people here.

"Yeah, you'll definitely need luck to win, Delf," Calix laughed.

Once Neric had disappeared to go to James, Helena took a minute to think to herself about what happened. She wasn't upset with Neric at all, if anything she was upset with herself. Was transforming overreacting? Cecilia's frightened face flashed through Helena's mind and her cheeks turned red. Even though no one was around, she covered her face in embarrassment. She didn't mean to scare anyone, especially not someone as friendly as Cecilia.

Helena was so distracted by these thoughts that she didn't even hear the bell for lunch. When she reached the mess hall the councillors were explaining the buffet. She went to the buffet and picked up carnitas and soft tortillas, murmuring to herself with a smile, "Mí Naca sangre es muy felíz. (My Nicaraguan blood is very happy)". It was sweet of the councillors to give them such a large choice in foods.

At Mystery's offer of rice balls, Helena couldn't let the offer go. "Yes please," she said and picked one up. She ate it, a wide smile growing on her face, "Wow, these are really great! You should be a rice ball chef!"
