@Akayaofthemoon Well, there is supposed to be a bar within walking distance of where we're staying, so at the very least I'll have a plan B if it isn't fun.

Hm, apparently a human being can survive for 10 minutes in 140 Farnheit weather depending on the humidity, kind of makes me wonder how long 210 degrees would take to kill you. I mean, you don't die from opening a hot oven so you probably wouldn't die on contact.

Bohdan's eyes widened a bit at the genuine display of emotion before him. He had never really had a caretaker like this. His parents watched over him, sure, but any time they spent with him was devoted almost entirely to making him strong, he couldn't remember ever being shown affection as Cassius was. He nodded at Rohzar and prepared to speak, quickly swallowing the last bit of food that was in his mouth.
"I'm honestly a bit surprised, I didn't think you were serious. You would travel with someone you've only just met?" he said to Cassius. He focused his eyes on Rohzar and said "Regardless, you can be sure that I will look after him like family. I promise on my life that your son will be kept safe." He turned back to Cassius and said "I will be ready to leave as soon as you are then. I hopefully won't need to for you to spend money on me, but it's comforting to know that you're willing to if such a need arises. In return, I shall do my best to find you a suitable weapon, if that's acceptable to you, of course. Perhaps in return for the lesson you just gave me, I will teach you how to use it."

So yeah, I had Spinel do her thing. Is anyone doing anything interesting for today? I doubt that I'll personally be going anywhere because a pretty great fireworks display was visible from my back yard last year, and also I think my legs will divorce me if I try to walk to the car.

"Seems sensible." Spinel said. She started walking behind Amber as they separated and went into town. She tried not to pay too much mind to the awful state the town was now in, but there was a question she couldn't get out of her mind. Is this what gems do? She could look for answers later, however she wasn't entirely sure she wanted to ask Aquamarine. She scanned the area around her for Johnny as well, because she really wasn't sure what else to do. She wanted to help everyone, but she didn't have the skills for a situation like this and wasn't even sure where to start.
