Another question had occurred to her since they arrived in town, but she was aware even now that it would sound stupid and it had very little to do with the topic at hand. She hoped her question wouldn't rub Aquamarine the wrong way, but getting an answer really interested her and now seemed an opportune time to ask.
@Akayaofthemoon Maybe I should have Spinel chime in again to give Aquamarine a chance to answer some of her questions? I always like to give other people plenty of time to say stuff but I guess I can do that. Spinel's questions can be pretty weird though.

He offered us what he must have assumed we'd consider important information, and claimed that he was only here for our benefit. Spinel put a hand on her chin as she tried to think of anything else that might be important to say. "He also claimed that his human attacked him. He seemd to be trying very hard to make himself seem trustworthy, which he was doing reasonably well at until Evenkite said some things that made him upset. Now he's gone"
@Akayaofthemoon Uh oh. I was thinking of holding off for a while but maybe Spinel should come in here with a better explanation, if only for Reggie's sake.

@Akayaofthemoon Yeah I agree, I'd be pretty sad if Spinel left the group. I think it's really cool that I would though, it's a sign of good writing when seeing one character turn their back on other characters would actually be painful to read.

Time for sort of an author's note I guess, I actually had a big emotional scene in my head where Spinel would seriously consider betraying the first group of friends she's ever had, but she ended up just being very ._. about the whole thing.
Spinel became visible again and walked back to the group. "Well that was... a whole lot of nothing, really. But now that this Bloodstone is gone I guess we can return to our work, such as it as." Spinel only sounded partially interested in the words she was saying. "Unless this guy is going to turn into a gem too." she said half sarcastically. "But uh, on the more serious side of things, should we attempt to help you, sword man?"
I think that may have been Eve's best moment so far.
