@Akayaofthemoon Oh good! For some reason when doing RPs making/joining one set in the past just makes it more difficult for me to get excited for some reason, I guess because it's less suspenseful when you already know what actually happens.

@Raijinslayer That pretty much sums up what I've heard. Like I said above, if I can sit through the pro-bending arc I can sit through just about anything season 2 throws at me... unless you mean to imply there's something in season 2 that's... worse than the pro-bending episodes 0_0

@Kronshi I like looking at it like that too. It sort of ties into how I compare it with the way I view the Star Wars prequels, some of its merit comes from the fact that expands the universe (and also give me good ideas for RPs).

That's about what I've heard too. From the sound of things the series will continue to have things that annoy me but I'll probably keep watching it because the good stuff outweighs it just enough for me. Kind of like with the Star Wars prequels, the main story and characters in those were pretty awful but I can sort of tolerate them because I like the universe. From what I've heard the end of season 3 and season 4 also help make up for some of the crapiness. I totally understand if you aren't interested in watching it though, for a while I really wasn't either.

@Akayaofthemoon It's really cool to hear you think so! Yeah time would be a big thing for me but maybe I'll have time to get one like that started over the holiday season. I get a decent break from school right after Thanksgiving and an awesome Christmas gift to myself would be getting some of the RP ideas I've had off the ground.

Hidden because I sort of go on a rant

Yeah Korra had its issues. I'm almost done with the first season and it's been fun in a lot of ways, but there are a few things I didn't care for. The biggest one is honestly something I didn't like about the original series either, which is how much of an edge benders have over non benders. I mean, I get that it seems pretty obvious that they would, but it would have been nice to see non benders hold their own a little more often. I'm sure that it wasn't intentional but the implication is that you're either born awesome or you're born to suck, and it was worse in Korra than in AtLA. It doesn't help that we're sort of shown that non benders generally have it crappier than benders and that the only group trying to leverage for better treatment of non benders are the bad guys.

Aside from that, there's the horrible pro-bending arc that goes absolutely nowhere and wastes, if my memory is correct, 3 episodes and serves no purpose except to provide a backdrop for one of the worst romance subplots I've ever seen.

Okay, so for a while now I've had an idea for this RP where my character would be non-bender rogue named Cricket. He starts off as a super pragmatic thief who only cares about survival and personal gain, but through unforeseen circumstances becomes part of a group tasked with with defending a very young, mute avatar who hasn't come into their abilities yet.
