Hm, now to maybe actually interact with someone. I'm kind of interested in conversation with @A5G Verdant

Oh go right ahead and strike a conversation. Apologize in advance for Verdant being a socially inept gremlin.
It's difficult not to notice the commotion, really. Verdant took a glance at first but didn't take long before she openly gawk alongside the other people abovedeck. If nothing else, people loved being bystanders. And she's got front row seat to see the wheelchair man doing... stuff. More magic, probably. She may need to revise her intention to wheel him off the ship at the first given opportunity.

Maybe she should shank him in his sleep instead.

It looked like some sort of wood manipulation? Need indirect contact, by how he ripped off the wheelchair's handle. Idiot cant even take good care of his own things. She hoped that the broad-shouldered drunkard slug him in the face, that'd be nice to see. Maybe that rich lady's guard can shank him too. Save her the effort of doing so later.
If there's any sound, the ocean breeze and the hubub of the passengers had perfectly concealed it. But Verdant subtly shivered as the needle hit, going through the sackcloth to impact something solid within. Did the sack - or more accurately, the content - also shivered with her? Nearly impossible to tell by sight.

She plucked out the offending bit of metal, biting on the tip as she turned toward the source. It wasn't shot hard enough to injure unless it got into the eye, and she couldn't detect any manner of venom. A prank? Harassment? Didn't know, didn't care. The serpent was cross enough from the prospect of sailing already, that even minor offense could set her off.

Well, minor offense would've set her off even under normal circumstances. But still.

The man in the wheelchair didn't even tried hiding the fact that he'd shot her unprovoked. Motherfucker. Flicking the needle into the sea, Verdant huffed and turned back to survey the last of the boarding passengers. She's not forgiving him, no. In fact, the petty snake already decided to knock out and toss the asshole overboard at a later date. Until then, it's best not to be the only person that's witnessed quarelling with him.
Ship travel never sat well with one particular serpent, moreso a lengthy trip across the ocean. Unfortunately there's little choice for Verdant in the matter. Really, it was juuust a minor baronet that she offed but they had to drag out all her criminal record and issued a manhunt. Big bummer, the pay was not worth it. Thankfully no one quite expected just how fast can she travel overland, reaching the port and will be off in her merry ways before the net expanded this far out.

Being able to transform into snake certainly helped though.

A lowkey uneasy Verdant can be found over the deck, surveying the town quite away from just about anyone else. Half an hour before departure. Half an hour for something to went wrong. She's dressed in dull green, from the shirt to pants to the travelling cloak, the color faded from age and dirt almost to the point of matching her skin tone. Her only luggage is a vaguely ovoid lump wrapped in cloth, tightly held under her arm. And she's barefoot, if anyone were to examine closely.

More passengers still boarding, she idly observed. Some flashy magic kinds. Civilians. Men with arms. None looked like the authorities. Soon enough, soon. Maybe she'll come back in a few decades after this.
Name: "Verdant"

Gender: Female

Age: At least 142

Description: A tiny dark-skinned woman with pale hair and a few scarring. Eyes can be described as "utterly and completely out of her marbles" or green, depending on who's looking. Able to morph into a stubby short snake with disproportionately wide midsection at will.

Bio: Either an old snake demon that gained sentience or a byproduct of magic gone wrong, the serpent currently using the name Verdant is a psycopath wanted for murder and mass poisoning in several countries under various different alias over the years. Things may had heated a bit too much after the poisoning of a particularly well-liked local lord, thus she snuck into the first ship going faraway and maybe spend a few decades becoming a problem in someone else's backyard.

Purpose of travel: Escaping the authorities

Other info: Expert in brewing and perusing poison, knifing people in a dark alley, running the hell away from someone stronger, and sneaking back to torch their house later. Innately able to alter the human form to a moderate extent, and is generally highly resistant to toxic substances.
