Inside was an even greater horror to that in which she had witnessed prior. "Oh my gods...." She whispered, her pupils turning into tiny slits and her eyes brightly glowed a crimson hue, both her voice and expression held great terror. Her body trembled furiously as her hand clenched onto her sword.
Focus. The captain... Bartuc... Everyone is counting on my group if we want to make it out alive..... Ruinil exhaled deeply, calming herself. Her expression turned solemn as she ran around the fighting, and up the stairs. Thankfully, the route she had chosen was not heavily guarded, however, Ruinil remained vigilant of every nook and cranny that could be a potential hiding spot for the enemy. Unfortunately, few of the upcoming kests had become impatient and went on the offensive. Unlike the scouts, the warriors were massive.
However, Ruinil did not falter. Her movements were quick and appeared elegant, yet powerful. She also consistently changed direction by moving in a circular motion; almost as if she were dancing, making it nearly impossible for the enemy to pin her down, let alone land an attack on her. The kest warriors were quickly dealt with and Ruinil made her way to the nearest vat and awaited the captains signal.
This, however, quickly changed as she saw Argus deliberately tip one of the vats, sending molten steel into the clearing below. "Argus you fool! The signal!" She screamed. This mistake nearly cost her life as she had almost been skewered by a warrior that had used the distraction as a chance for a sneak attack. Thankfully, Ruinil managed to block the attack with the flat side of her blade. However, Ruinil was knocked down onto her back with a grunt from the great force of the kest. The warrior went in for another attack, but only to have the flat side of Ruinil's blade to get caught in it's maw, as Ruinil tried to fend it off. It loomed over her, it's acidic saliva dripped onto her face. It burned like hell causing a few minor burns to form. "Damnit! Get off of me!" She roared as she tried to push it away but to no avail, they were in a deadlock.
Ruinil let out a low growl as she pushed the beast back with all of her might. She was not about to let herself die here.
