Onset of a True World: Prologue

Linda opened Lance's hamburger and handed it to him as she thought a minute.
"It has been very exciting and fun. You are even likable for a typical male. I might after we finished this case. Now what kind of clothes are you looking for? Perhaps a leisure suit? WIth a Polo shirt? Suede shoes..... I'll leave the underwear up to you...... I need a bit more info and I shall have the info by the time we get to the mall. For now I am going to eat this lovely hamburger and fries. " Linda spoke as she unwrapped hers.

"I'll stay in my room but pick up something for lunch, ok? I am a bit hungry for a good burger and fries." Linda got up with her laptop so that she could use it in her room.
"You gonna shop with RIchard?"

"I agree. There is a campground about half an hour away and we can easily get back here if Dan gives you a call. There is a water park there too. Perhaps we visit it tomorrow? If it doesn't rain that is. Possible thunderstorms.
While you drive, I'll type out the conversations." Linda smiled as Lance came inside.

Meanwhile Dan is in his meeting where he gets his good news of being released. They went over his new profile and his new name, Richard Miller. He now has a degree in library science. His job would be in a new town of which he would move to after he gets his new clothes. He was given a Mastercard with $20,000 dollars on it for his new belongings.

Richard was allowed to make one phone call to someone. He dialed the number on the card that he was given and hoped that Lance would give him a lift to the nearest shopping mall.

The Dark Ages [ALWAYS OPEN]

Ixonia was impatiently waiting for someone to allow her to stable her creatures. Not only was she tired but the sheep were about to produce their lambs and in fact she had two on the floorboards bleating. One never knew when the lambs were to be born and it looked like they were to born any time. She was weary and just wanted to rest somewhere in a bit of peace. Ixonia knew that she was going to have to pay quite handsomely for this but she was ready to do so.

A loud bleat alerted Ixonia to the birthing of the first lamb in her small flock. She quickly tied the reins off on the curved horn then knelt to check out the mother.
"Tis ok. Soon it will be all over and ye will have a little one to take care of. Now breathe easy for a minute......" she spoke in a soothing tone to the tired mother.
