Current So I've learned that I have low-level adult ADHD, and that's helped me understand a little bit why I can never seem to stick with an adventure for longer than a month at a time.

I've started the process of writing an adventure book for my most ambitious GUTS+ campaign, and hoo boy, it's exhausting.

I'm attempting to make some one-page adventures for my GUTS+ system. We'll see how that goes!

I'm not a spambot, I'm just excited about my hard work on my app and I want people to not use spreadsheets to make conlangs anymore because that sucks!

The flames dwindled into smoking embers that sputtered as the raindrops hit, and all of the monsters were gone. "Thank you, heroes! You have done a magnificent thing today!" The king emerged from hiding in a nearby building. "Much more magnificent than these fools!" he spat as his embarrassed guards shuffled out behind him. "Please, I know you have already done so much, but I must ask you to investigate this whole affair with Sarkkus. He lives in the Wizard's Tower to the east. Please, if you do this, I will reward you all handsomely [rolled 2], but unfortunately the supply house was destroyed as the monsters ran here, so I cannot supply you with anything you might need on your investigation... I apologize." The king's head bowed sadly. "I can only offer you one piece of assistance: the ancestral Wizard's Key." The king pulled an ivory spiral key from a string around his neck and handed it to Alphonse, who was closer to the building where the king was standing. "This is one of only two keys that can unlock the Wizard's Tower. The other key, of course, belongs to the Royal Wizard... Please, go and investigate the tower and find out what Sarkkus has planned so we can stop him!"
Bit confused on power numbers. Are power numbers a specific number that you choose? Or can you just go, roll, POWAH NUMBAH!
Yeah, exactly what @Gisk said. Before the game actually starts, the EM rolls all the players' power numbers and posts them on the scenario post (the first post in the OOC tab). I kinda screwed up with this game because I forgot that I needed to roll the power numbers before I started the game in the IC tab, but it all worked out when I re-rolled and you had the highest number. :)
Nope, That's pretty much how far you can go, so that's a pretty good model of a power roll. :)
Was that an appropriate use of my power number?
Definitely! That was a great use of it! And it helps us move on, too, which is nice because I've never gotten this far in this EnA scenario before. :D
The leaf on the Green Thumb Ring started to glow with a dim green light, and Harry could feel the ring getting colder. As it glowed, the plant slowly turned to look at him and visibly relaxed. It sat(? It's hard to tell with the tendril-like roots for feet) down with a thump, slightly swaying as if to some unheard music. Behind the plant, Harry could see that Ronnie had struck a one-legged pose, bent over with his arms over his head, unmoving and noiseless except for his occasional trembles and wimpers. From above, Harry heard his grandfather cry down, "I say, are you quite okay, Harry? What's going on down there?" He apparently couldn't see the gigantic plant now swaying on the ground.
The cyclops... [rolled 4] Looked down at its missing arm, now just a stump that was cauterized around a gigantic charred jag of bone, mostly unfazed by the explosion. It looked up at its asssailant and with a terrifying roar, it charged at Sylvester. [rolled 5] It stomped close, its arm flailing about, readying itself to slam down on its target. Suddenly, it tripped on the crater Sylvester's bomb had made earlier, planting its face into the cobblestone just to Sylvester's right and sliding until its arm bone lightly tapped Sylvester's shins. Inside the courthouse... [rolled 12--best case scenario] There were a couple of small, crying children huddled in the only corner of the courthouse that was not ablaze. "Help us!" "We can't get out!" "We're scared!!" They were bawling uncontrollably, but they were altogether unharmed.
Welcome! I'm pretty new here, myself, but it's easy to jump in and everyone I've come across is pretty great! If you have any questions, the mods are fairly active, and everyone else is usually eager to help, too! I don't know as much, but I'm willing help, too, if you need any. :) Enjoy!
As Isaac stepped into the semi-circular room, he saw tons of flashing lights and screens on the wall, test tubes and jars held upright by suspended platforms with unlabeled knobs and a switch with a power icon on each platform's sides, white pipes and multicolored cables tangled all over the floor and ceiling connecting the lights and screens (imagine this, but on the floors and ceilings), and a counter running the entire length of the rounded wall. The counter was littered with broken pottery, dirt, paper either stained by many different colors of liquid or burned, plants in various stages of life seemingly torn out of their shattered pots, and directly across the room from the door, was an open 3-inch red binder next to a vacuum-sealed container. The binder was open to the exact center of its contents, and from the looks of the stacks of paper inside, it was completely full. Apparently it was so heavy that it had not moved at all during the crash. The vacuum-sealed container (like this but bigger and not a light bulb) had a tiny glass pedestal inside, and on top of the pedestal was a seed that looked just like a corn kernel. Beneath the counter were a series of 4 closed lock boxes evenly spaced. Looking directly right after entering the door, Isaac saw a neatly wrapped present on the counter against the wall separating this room from the previous room. By the way, this room, like the rest, was made entirely of plate metal, and it was only lit by the flashing lights and dim screens on the walls.
The courthouse continued burning, but the monsters kept coming! The monsters seemed to be getting smart, however, and were not attacking the three impromptu heroes who had fought back. The monster blinded by Datura writhed ground a few feet away from her, trying to rub its gigantic eye with its wings, two of the flying monsters were ripping at a man and woman who couldn't get away, and one hulking cyclops about twice the size of a man and four times as broad lumbered toward the well, too slow to have been incinerated along with the other monsters caught in Sylvester's explosion. It seemed that these were the last remaining monsters, but the courthouse was starting to collapse and cries could be heard coming from inside!
Great first round, everyone! It looks like you get it perfectly. :D I'll post my next post in the morning (I'm in US Mountain Time), but I just wanted to let you know I've seen your posts.
