Hello RPGuild, I have an idea for a roleplay in a parallel version of the NARUTO manga. In this alternate universe--basically Hashirama was the dick instead of Madara so the following happened: Madara Uchiha became the first Hokage and Izuna (who survived in the place of Tobirama--however Tobirama had already invented both the shadow clone jutsu and edo tensei prior to his death--and also, because of the two Uchiha becoming Hokage, there was no Uchiha massacre) and became the second Hokage. The third and forth were still however Hiruzen and Minato respectively, thus Minato and Kushina still died and sealed the Nine Tails into their son Naruto. Hiruzen, as it was in the canon, took his place as Hokage in order to keep peace whilst a true successor was found. Also as in the canon, he died against Orchimaru and the two previous Hokage he revived, Madara and Izuna. Itachi Uchiha became the fifth and Hokage and rules in the place of Tsunade Senju (who is still just doing her thing at this point).
Due to Naruto still being an orphan whilst Sasuke has a family, they still have a bitter rivalry however Naruto tends to be more of the jerk. However, Sasuke never runs away. So instead of there being a hatred (on Sasuke's end), it's just a simple rivalry. They're both training every hard in order to become the next Hokage (yeah, they both still have that same ol' dream). So Naruto still went off to train with Jiraiya for two years while Sasuke, on the other hand, trained with his older brother Itachi.
As far as Obito Uchiha goes, that's all basically the same as it was in the canon storyline. Except it was Hashirama who saved Obito and blah blah blah. Instead of Obito going by the moniker "Madara" he goes by "Hashirama" instead, and only has his one Sharingan (which is covered by his mask). He also, thanks to Hashirama, has some of his cells in order to use wood release. So the Akatsuki is still in this AU, however it is Danzo who is the Akatsuki member for the leaf opposed to Itachi. Now this roleplay will pick up right after the Pain Invasion (so your character could have already died and been revived thanks to Nagato's last jutsu thing) and is at the point of the Five Kage Summit as they're meeting about Hashirama becoming an increasing threat. (Obito is the one who attacked Killer Bee in the cloud as he had nobody to it for him.) So currently, Itachi is out of the village and his former student, Akio Senju, has taken role as temporary Hokage until he returns. Anyhow, that's about all for the current setting and everything.
Whew, that was a lot of explaining. Now that the story is out of the way, time for the rules. There's not really a limit on your Jutsus, I just prefer that if you make your character a genin--keep them at genin level jutsus, same with chunnin and jonin. Posting wise, anywhere from a paragraph to a five is good enough for me--just don't make it an essay okay? While I am a fast reader, others aren't and may be turned off at the sight of a wall a text. Alright, if you're interested in this idea--please let me know. I'd really, really love to play this out and see where it leads. :)
