Alice thoughtfully frowned at the teacher's words. She can't really refute it, especially not when she was being taught on how to use magic herself. She could consider this as one of the Elective Classes she'd took then. But then the question remain, why did the School even assign her this class in the first place? She probably should ask again later, Mr. Squall is not so kind-hearted that he'd tolerate another question that's unrelated to his own lesson. At least he's not petty enough to consider it as implying that she didn't want to be taught by him. The girl then decided to focus on taking notes from the lecture.

Meira's statement hit the rest of the class like a truck. Some of the students were gobsmacked at the sheer ridiculousness of what Meira was attempting but most were simply unable to hold their amusement and the class was filled with various state of laughter. Even Alice, who normally would frown at an attempt of bribery, quietly laughed at Meira and her words. There were also a few whispers that those in the student seats could probably hear from their place, mostly speculations that Meira's blatant bribery attempt was her attempt to deliberately fail the class altogether.

Have you even seen any fighting games? Their characters usually have a thinnest of back-stories and fight each other for no reason.

I've always thought the multiverse needed an ultimate goal to motivate the characters and drive events. A main quest to complete. Perhaps a simple collect-the-McGuffins for ultimate power? Therefore, people with similar goals, such as world peace or destruction would band together.

Another idea that might be fun would be the manga HunterXHunter's greed island arc.
