Wow this picked up today XD. I'll see if I have time to post today, but probably not. I've got an IC to write and I've got to finish Nih's page and then I've got to study for a midterm.
What? Oh, I didn't mean to sounds like I was approving an app. I was just commenting. XD
@ZombieMagikarp XD! Well, They don't know they need to get to the forest to pick up a wurmple! And Thassa lives in Treasure Town. No reason he couldn't get involved though~ :P

Edit:

@bobbananaville: Oh, I don't mind one bit! But Thassa is an ekans, who ... well, "used to be a predator" isn't wholly accurate. She will still eat you. Won't bother her one bit - in fact she'll enjoy it. :D.
Buuuuut it's really hard to get away with that kind of thing in a group. I expect Favlev will keep her in line. :B.

I suppose there's something to be said about the "outsider" bit, too. She wasn't raised in the forest, it's true. But out on the sunswept plain she was just as wild as he is. She hasn't exactly adjusted to the civilized mindset yet.
@Lugia I could post later~ I was kind of waiting for Ridlins to post for Dexter, but since we need a transitionary post anyway, it's probably not that big of a deal~.

@bobbananaville Thassa is going for form a new team with Favlev and Dexter. However, we're sort of heading toward treasure town to do so, and birchwood forest is the other way! Isn't it?

Lugia, which way is Birchwood from Allure, and can we get there on the way to Treasure Town?

That said... I don't know if a wurmple with predator issues would like being on a team with Thassa. :B
I'll put the IC post up tomorrow. After that, post order will fall roughly into order of whoever posts first.

There's no real need to wait for an excessive time to pass or anything if you feel the need to post, out of turn, either. Just... y'know. The post rotation is more of a guideline to keep some semblence of order. *nods*

@lavulman I suppose a "timely manner" can vary depending on the situation. If we're just watching the sky's color, frankly, you can take all the time you like. We'll just move on. If you're doing something big, which everyone needs to wait for before they can respond, then I would anticipate a reply more quickly. I won't just jump on anything. I'll message ya first and give ample warning.
By the way folks, I figured I'd clear this up now. Post order will not be strictly enforced. If one person does not respond in a timely manner, the rest of the group is fully permitted to brush over them and move on. If one post begins to hold up the group, I reserve the right to take whichever methods are necessary to move past that problem.
Okay! I've got no problem with that.
xD Well, Evan, that's sort of what that means! Telekenetic power is the practice of projecting your will into the world. Shit moves because you SAY it moves. Because you WANT it to move. It can go further than that, but usually this type of power would boil down to force. Put a vice around a distant enemy's head. Push them to the ground. Deflect an arrow or whip their sword from their grasp. Pour a nice hot cup of tea without burning your paws.
Well, I expect Lugia's team to be the one encountering more dangerous opponents. You may wish to pick up a couple of defensive mechanisms at the very least! You're free to come up with your own interpretation of his abilities, but the maximum breadth of a pokemon's magic is typically derived from something resembling the movelist. Espurr has access to many electrical attacks, which implies the potential in our setting to attune to such magic. It won't be as strong as that of our ampharos, most likely, but the option is certainly there!

The most efficient and natural option for most espurr would of course be to practice their psychic powers - be that to toy with a victim's mind or to overtly force one's will onto the natural world.

Give some thought to the character's mindset and how he would approach magic. Is he a generalist, who likes to dabble in a bit of everything and spread his capabilities as far as he's able? Does he seek to master one very specific power - the ability to trap his enemies in a mental prison, or to overcome reality with sheer force of will? Or does he lie somewhere in between, practicing which key spells matter to him to shore up his weaknesses?

Edit: An addendum. I mean it when I say "typically" - if you want to do something outside what you would think is possible, don't be afraid to ask. Just be prepared to explain how it works. Feuertanz already does this with his quasi-healing magic.
Heh, if you want, you can add some skills to him! But don't be worried about falling behind; we've got a singing bug.
That said, given your character's background, it's almost inconceivable that he wouldn't have the time and resources to have dabbled in magic. Whether he had the interest or aptitude? That's a better question.

Our kirlia and bagon similarly have almost no combat ability!

Would you rather be part of the team that goes to explore the ruins, or would you rather be with the team whose purpose hasn't quite been decided yet?

Both teams will kind of dovetail into the same plot points later in, but in the beginning the challenges set before the exploration team will be less... lethal in nature.
