It's happening again. I have been visited by a soviet mad scientist, a king, a penguin prince of darkness, a house plant god thing, a mystical ancient member, a tired reaper (thank god) + a greeting.

Welcome :)
Wel....oh ^ What he said.

You can make a thread in the Testing forum where you won't be disturbed in putting stuff together. That's how I'm compiling info for a roleplay that I'm putting off again.

Accepted, but feel free to think of more runes as you go, especially sense I like magic to have practical and peaceful purposes, and many of these are combat-oriented or can really only be used logically for combat.

May I suggest the rune-system from my favorite MMORPG, RuneScape? In it, there are only a handful of basic types, but they can be combined to create spells. An attack spell, for example, might cost 5 Fire Runes and 2 Air Runes.
But it's up to you.

Only rune system I'm accustomed with is the one that I mentioned, so the runes in such a combat oriented game are obviously rather combat oriented. I do intend to have them used at various points for other things.

Nope, as I am a lazy fool who is more content to assume he can let such things slide into the darkness as I slowly point and mutter something about a flying cow, then shove it deep under the carpet while you're trying to find this "flying cow" for .1 seconds as your mind realizes there's no such thing.

That said, I was actually just about to work on it. Obviously. Was there any doubt?

Sure. It makes it all the more painful and hilarious when I steal their points (and Khookies, @Hael ).

When you are using google... the effect becomes... deflated.

And words gets around that you are a googlemaster, not a factmaster.

Although being both... now that's something.
No, I suspected it was a Monty Python reference but wasn't sure so I just used Google to get your points =P

You tell people that you use google?
Not sure if I can fulfill this particular obligation :/
Why not? We could always turn <make up x town to the west> into a newly skeleton exlcusive town :)
