It's happening again. I have been visited by a soviet mad scientist, a king, a penguin prince of darkness, a house plant god thing, a mystical ancient member, a tired reaper (thank god) + a greeting.

Thasseldar watched as several people walked out. He walked out as well, but with no particular direction in mind. Without his staff, all he had was his will... and to use it right he would need assistance. Asssistance that could only come in the form of summoning someone much greater than himself...

((For lack of creativity making this guy do anything, he's free to interaction by anyone who happens to walk by him. Or is in the area, up to you.))

Igorossus stood in the shadows, watching as Thasseldar himself walked by without noticing him. His own fault, he supposed. He did cloak himself before Thasseldar came out.

Dropping it, he walked to another side of the city, spotting a very interesting entity and a woman standing up to it.. The Collective? he had heard of it, but his time underground had made it so he didn't know names as well as he used to. The woman he had no idea, nor any interest.

Standing at the side of the street and assuming a bored expression visible to anyone who looked back, he watched as the confrontation continued.
Well, as you might have noticed, I did lose interest :/ I'll have to drop it.
Portal...?

It didn't really matter where it went. As Artholath began taking long, but still disoriented strides towards it, a knife hit the point of one of his smaller appendage points; a softer spot it was, allowing it to pierce through. With a roar of anger, limping towards the portal, Artholath shot hastily formed spikes from his free left hand while his right held the dwarf's spear.

The portal began to close as Artholath limped inside.

"You appear to have been at a distinct disadvantage..." The voice echoed across the walls of Zargon's private chamber, the walls of which were completely obscured by shimmering darkness.

"Oh, really? How did you guess..." whith a barely visible grimance on his face, Artholath pulled the knife out of his side and threw the thing on the stone floor of Zargon's chamber.

"You will get to kill him soon enough. All of them, in fact.

For now, go into the portal. You'll meet with my associate in there, he'll show you what you need when you explan who sent you.
"

Artholath shifted to his human form with a little assistance from Zargon. Notthat he knew of it, but Zargon knew that Artholath was still a little disoriented. He had an affinity for knowing demonic weak spots, and for demons of Artholath's type a spot right under the chin would be the killer mark. He watched as Artholath walked through the now yellow portal to Ghresus's fortress. His fortress? No, my fortress...

Aezophyl he never did learn, though. Unfortunately, to get Aezophyl back would mean expending a lot of energy digging through the abyss. A place where there was a lot more than just demons... no, Aezophyl would have to do it himself.
I like em all.
Artholath's surprisingly light bodymass made it so the punch to one of his more critical spots knocked him clear halfway across the street, a loud screech coming from him. The spear that he was still holding was embedded between two planks of a wall.

Although he was now at a good range to cast, his accuracy would suffer greatly. Trying to clear his head, he shot several small spikes from his lower appendages, half of which would miss altogether, while clumsily walking towards the wall, trying to pull out the spear.

Zargon watched Artholath be knocked clear across the street. He knew Artholath's main form wasn't very heavy, but it had to be a solid punch to be quite as effective. Ah well. It was time for him to recall Artholath; the mayor could wait. He would have liked to have the man killed first, but considering Artholath wasn't much of a combatant in melee against someone who appeared to be skillful, it was only a matter of time before the Dwarf found out his weak spot.

With that in mind, he cast a red portal on the end of the street, to the right of Artholath, big enough to accomidate Artholath's true form. Hopefully he would get there first before the dwarf could do any more damage.

Hopefully he sees the portal, period.
It'll take a decisive blow to below the chin upwards for a fatal (banish to the abyss) non-enchanted shot, then. Otherwise, he can be weakened, but at worst his spirit lingers and goes possess someone, and that woudn't do as his real form would regenerate under that person's skin... don't you love demons?
Meh, Artholath isn't as obvious too much of a fighter. He's more a guy(not really, eh?) to shoot folks down at high accuracy.

That said, he still can take some damage if he gets hit. More so than most. Especially considering the weapon isn't enchanted (or is it?).
There we go, now we have at least one mage scheming to mess things up. >:)
Walk out now...

The thought randomly appeared in his head as he listened to the prince.

On the outside, he was stoic, leaning back with his hands clasped on his lap and ignoring most else in the room.

No, don't walk... this is the perfect opportunity...

Runic mages had it all, and a few buffoons lead by someone who only had raw power behind him were the ones to bring his legacy this low in the first place. He didn't quite have his father's hatred - heck, his father would have tried to blast everyone in the room to bits. Himself included.

Still, immortality...

No human, no goblin, no one should have that. Especially uncivilized mmongrels that fill this room. And certainly not this Prince fellow. If he wanted to do it the honorable way, like his grandfather, he would simply walk out. But that would leave the rest of these fellows to find it for themselves... no, that wouldn't do at all.

For now, he would simply wait, keeping these thoughts to himself. When the time was right.

He had little fear of death; at his age, he would only have a few years left with the nature of his magic, and that was being optimistic and after many runes. He didn't share the pathetic fear of death as others did. Seems to run in the family...
<Snipped quote by Cyclone>

That is exactly what I mean. The antagonists are just trying to stop the immortality thingy

Sure... anything to stop the less civilized magic users. :P
