and yes, we will start on the same planet. well, actually, I'll start on a ship that ran out of fuel within the planet's orbit, but it'll pretty much be starting on that planet.

personality: James is a very soft-spoken person. He generally just avoids people, and rarely talks, if ever. He typically won't talk to someone until they've earned his trust, and it's really hard to earn his trust, especially if you're one of the more enthusiastic military personnel.
bio: He doesn't like talking about it, but supposedly he was discharged after only a year in the military for something he didn't even do.

name: White Lightning (The mech is extremely fast, hence the name.)
bio: James found White Lightning while searching an underground cave near the abyss where they found most of the mechs. At one point, he accidentally tripped an bumped into one of the smaller rocks that was wedged there to hold up the cave, and, as it started collapsing around him, the mech actually activated and moved, its hand covering him and keeping him from being crushed. So he didn't choose the mech. It actually chose him. Also, after analyzing it, they found that this mech seemed to be one of the oldest out of the mechs, if not the oldest out of them all. (I hope you're okay with that last part about it being the most ancient of the mechs.)
