Suddenly, a short sword seemed to come out of nowhere as if it was thrown, and stuck into a spider that was about to hit Tsubasa in the back, then when the spider vanished after dying the shortsword clattered to the floor.

Of course, when they walked into the cave, Soma was nowhere to be seen even though the spiders were still there, which meant either he had gotten himself killed, or he ran past all the enemies to the deepest part to fight the biggest enemies.

James sat in his fully insulated cell, bored. Nobody was even allowed to enter his cell without an insulated suit on so he couldn't use his powers to control the electrical signals in their bodies. He sighed as they slipped food through a small slot in the door. He was bored enough that he decided to do something risky. Behind all the rubber was metal, so he controlled the heat energy in the air to make it over 400 degrees so the rubber would melt. Just then, the slot in the door opened and a tranquilizer dart shot through, hitting him in the neck and effectively knocking him out cold.
