James just calmly listened to the others speak, and hoped he wouldn't have to go for awhile so he can relax.

Ad, on the other hand, was listening to each of the others, and trying to figure out who he would get along with, since he really didn't have any friends, because his aunts and uncles were always putting him through constant training.
