James had been sleeping on a branch of a random tree, which he didn't know was in someone's back yard because he wasn't paying attention to where he chose to sleep. He was still asleep though, and of course, his wake up call wasn't too pleasant. He accidentally fell off the tree branch, and landed on his face right between some human and a snake girl.

Death slowly woke up, right in front of the Tardis, and quickly got to his feet. He was wondering where he was, and quickly looked around. He then looked at the Tardis, and pulled out one of his scythes as he approached, and cautiously entered it.

"I'm not socializing, and if you try to force me, I will make sure that everything that you absolutely need to do goes wrong," he said, not looking up from his book he was reading. He kept reading, not paying attention to the doctor after that.
