James grinned before taking off, easily getting across the platforms due to his great agility, trained up because of the various sports he'd done. His bone gauntlets helped a lot on the salmon ladder, easily making it to the top. He stopped to retract the small spikes and the gauntlets when he got to just before the balancing balls, and dug his fingers of his right hand into his left arm.

James stepped up quickly after he saw Katherin fall in the syrup, before grinning as he took off his shirt and tossed it to the side, revealing his muscular, toned torso as he moved in a way that somehow cracked every join in his body before strange looking bone gauntlets covered his hands so he could get a better grip, and he kicked off his shoes so that very tiny spikes in the bottom of his feet could appear so he could grip the platforms better before each jump. He was giddy at a chance to actually use his powers, and smirked as about 5 inches of vertebrae stuck out of his back near the top of his spine, making a handle ready for him to simply pull out his spine when needed, since it would regenerate as fast as he was pulling it out anyways.

James was about to answer Valencia's question, when he heard the counselors speak, and he turned to look at them. He didn't bother to speak up though, because he really didn't know what would be a competition that people would find.
