Current Are people really that crippled by their social anxiety or whatever mental disorder they have that they can't bother to reply with a simple "no thanks" after pitching my idea?

Well hello, glad to have caught your attention. Let me tell you the idea I have in mind...

I play the wife of a rich man, which will be played by you, whom she secretly wants to kill. We can work out the details as to why she wants him murdered. Maybe he's abusive, or he did something to her in the past that was unforgivable in her eyes. Whatever the reason, she's on a mission to end his life.

The husband, on the other hand, has no idea about any of this. Maybe he slowly puts the pieces of the puzzle together as time goes on, or maybe in the end he is murdered and she lives off of his riches for the rest of her life. What'll happen? Who knows, and it's up to us to come up with a storyline...or not! I'm flexible, but I want to mainly focus on the lavish lifestyle of a couple as it's something I've been craving. And you know, you gotta throw in the idea of murder just to spice it up a little bit. With that said, if you want to have the husband be the one who's behind the murder plans, we can discuss it.

With that said, my character will be in her mid 40s, and we can either have it to where they have kids or they don't. Again, I'm flexible. My only requirements are that I play the wife as I have someone in mind I've been wanting to use, and that the couple has the financial freedom not experienced by many. Oh yes, and murder.

So, if you're interested, let me know. You can PM or express your interest here.
Count me in.
I've been craving a slice of life for some time now...make it happen please and thank you.
@taistelusopuli still with us? Not sure if you'd like to interject as GM and all.

@LuckyBlackCat The girls are going to be BFFs lol
The fact that the woman was offering to check on her the following day meant that Jane didn't have to go fetching for her in the morning. Good, less need to have to ask for a favor and in return, have to be in her debt. Jane never liked being in debt. She always did what she had to do to even out the help, otherwise, she could very well be taken advantage of. It had happened once in the past, and she did not respond kindly. In order to avoid a similar incident from occurring again, she rarely asked for assistance.

Jane turned around with a smile, climbing up the stairs. The woman looked like the textbook definition of a goody two-shoes, but she obviously didn't mind. After all, Jane now had an additional body who not only was a medical professional, but could also help her out if they had an encounter with someone or something trying to cause mayhem.

"Yes, that'd be great, thank you."

A few moments later both women were on the top floor. Jane looked down over the lot, the downpour making it nearly impossible to see anything clearly past the hotel grounds. The raindrops were landing heavily on the railing, some of it splashing Jane. She didn't mind though. She enjoyed the rain, except if she was getting soaked like she did earlier. But otherwise it was fine.

Jane noticed the doors to the rooms on the right. She tensed a little, wondering for a moment what, if anything, was on the other side of the door closest to her. She motioned for her companion to stay put as she walked up to the door. It wasn't locked, but it was mostly closed; enough to prevent them from seeing inside. Jane drew her firearm, placing the palm of her free hand on the door just about eye level before she swiftly pushed it open. Quickly walking inside, her eyes took some time to adjust to the darkness. However, as far as she could tell, the room was clear from any threats. Two beds on one side, a drawer with a TV on it opposite the beds, a table and a chair, and finally, two nightstands all made from the same material. The beds were stripped of any linen, and there was only one bare pillow on one of the beds. Jane was a bit surprised that the furniture was mostly intact, and she most definitely wasn't complaining.

"Alright, I guess this is home for the night," she called out to the woman, suddenly realizing she didn't know her name. "I'm Jane, by the way, and I suggest we both stay here together. No sense in splitting up and giving whatever freaks are out there the upper hand. What do you say, roomies for the night? We could even have a pillow fight but one of us would be shit out of luck."
"Thanks doc, you have magic hands" she remarked with a smirk, "You did a great job as far as I can tell," she went on, looking down to check out her shoulder. Jane was truly impressed. Whatever the woman did, it had helped her heal to the point where she wasn't worried about bleeding out, and the kind gesture wasn't lost on Jane. She did however notice that the woman was just the slightest bit apprehensive in her presence. Nothing visibly alarming, but Jane was skilled at reading people, and most of the time she could tell when something seemed off.

It's gotta be the tattoos...

"Well, I don't know how else to thank you other than with words. If I may, I don't think we'll run into trouble here so please, don't be afraid to stay and take advantage of any of the available rooms. I'm doing just that for the evening to rest up and hopefully continue on the move tomorrow. I should be good by then if all goes well."

Jane was appreciative of the services rendered, and in all honesty she didn't mind the woman staying in one of the rooms. If nothing else, she would be able to take a look at the wound the following morning before Jane took off. Usually, she wouldn't have extended the invitation, but she thought it was a good idea to have a healer around, especially when you already had an existing injury.
She wasn't alone. Jane hadn't heard the woman approach due to the heavy rain, and it made her stop on one of the steps on the way to the second floor. She looked down at the stranger, and she immediately noticed the fact that she had a substantial amount of blood on her person. That should have been reason enough for Jane to turn her away, but despite the fact, Jane didn't do that. Instead, she went down a few steps, her hand resting on the railing for support.

"If you're going to help me, then why are you covered in blood? Because from the looks of it, either you are not very talented or you're doing the opposite of helping..."

There was a brief silence. Maybe Jane had gone a little overboard, but it was easier to ask questions now and not the other way around. Her skin tingled, but she maintained her composure. At a first glance, the woman didn't seem all that threatening to her. She didn't rule out the possibility that she was hostile, of course, but to jump to conclusions could possibly end up setting her up for failure. She was at a disadvantage due to her wounds, and she didn't want to chance it. Jane would rather play along for the moment being and adjust later if needed be.

"...I have to admit though, I'd be foolish to turn away any help at this point." Jane went on, noticing the woman was glowing. She would have attacked Jane by now if that was her intention, and the thought put her at ease. She didn't let her guard down completely, but she wasn't on edge. "Come on, I was just going up to find a room," Jane motioned, the dull ache on her shoulder intensifying as a result and Jane was once again reminded that any small gesture or movement would be painful. Hopefully the woman would put an end to that and then leave her be so she could rest. The fight had drained her quite a bit and she'd be insane to go outside again without fully recovering.
@taistelusopuli

So Jane is now roughly a third of a mile south at the Hilltop Inn. As always, left it open in case they want to interact.
Just a bit further south of where she used to be, Jane found herself on hotel grounds. Judging from its exterior appearance, the property could have been in much worse shape given the events that had transpired since the fall of humanity. And for that, Jane was thankful. If she was lucky enough, she'd get to rest for some time as well as take a closer look at her wound to weigh in on her options. Not that she was a medical expert of any kind, but at the very least, she wouldn't allow herself to bleed out. And even worse, catch an infection from that damned creature biting her. If the wound got worse any which way, Jane knew she would have no choice but to take action.

The road leading up the parking lot curbed left. Jane was cautious not to rush across the open space without at least judging its surroundings, so she used the field of unkempt foliage to conceal herself against enemy eyes. Standing in place, Jane couldn't pick up any sounds coming from the building. The rain didn't help though, and she silently wished it would simply stop. Maybe for even 20 minutes, that's all she asked. But of course, life wasn't that easy. Aside from her diminished hearing, Jane's visibility was also hindered. She couldn't see all that well save for a few vague shapes. But after a few moments of observation, there was no sign of life there, and so Jane pressed forward. She cautiously moved in and out of sight between the trees until finally reaching the perimeter of the parking lot. Once there, she sprinted towards shelter, in her mind wishing to her lucky stars that no creature was waiting for her on those grounds.

Jane was then on the first floor of the hotel next to the southernmost stairs, and for a moment she pondered where to stay on that floor, or go up to the second or even third floor. But her decision-making process was a quick one and she found herself ascending up the steps, deciding that maybe she'd have better luck on the last floor. If anything, it would at least save her the headache of having to deal with the flooding due to the torrential downpour.
Score one for the "good" guys!
