Yeah, they understand how to fight together, but they won't do things if they don't feel like it. It's not about money, nor is it about victory, nor is it about right or wrong. It's just about happiness.

That's why they were a massive nuisance, despite being an insane military boon to the side that they join. Essentially, they're loose cannons.
