Her long slender fingers were wrapped easily around the goblet of wine as she watched this small magic show she could now easily guess who's child this would be. Hermes, the god of travelers and most notably thieves, at this a slight wrinkle came to the bridge of her nose. It was quickly erased though as Elize watched in silence. He might have wowed a blank human girl but he wasn't even close to wowing Elize. Her expression was utterly blank but her eyes contained a cold glint of instinct and mistrust. This wasn't an unusual look for the tall young woman rarely trusted any other upright readily sentient creatures, especially other demigods. Most of them would stab you in the back the moment they could find some gain from the gesture.

The young demigod reached out with her mental feelers to see what sort of animals were awake at such a late hour. The only one nearby that she could find was a large owl, a mother hunting for meat to feed her chicks. She was desperate but all of the mice had burrowed up or been scared away by the loud noise of the party. Elize pushed out a pulse of reassurance before quickly sending out a secondary questioning pulse and then another of longing for company. Then she offered the big bird a trade, that she would find something for her if she joined Elize. Normally the huntress's daughter would not ask a bird to come indoors, especially one as large as this owl but tonight was an exception. This female was one of the larger ones, an Eagle Owl, but like most she was nearly silent as she swooped down through the open patio doors into the kitchen.

Elize threw up her forearm to catch the bird though it's talon's cut easily through some of the skin there she merely winced softly. She reassured the bird again before she caught sight of a new comer to their little group. A young woman with blonde hair had joined them, tall but not quite to the height Elize was, especially in her heels but still tall enough to stand out. "I wouldn't bother to watch, just sleights of hand and a little blood from the mountain. Much too hot in here for this sort of crowd anyhow." She recommended to the girl as she turned for Dallas's fridge to find some raw meat. She quickly found some meat that was a little past date but still safe for the bird and headed towards the patio. She turned over her shoulder and gave a nod to Jonas before she took the last step out onto the patio giving the meat to the giant owl before propelling her into the air so she had room to expand her wings.

^ This, this is me about my fiance's mother's dogs. She has 5 dogs and not one of them pees outside. They go outside in their lovely fenced in yard and play and then come inside and pee on the carpet because it looks and feels just like a puppy pad apparently. Its disgusting, she wants everyone to take their shoes off at the door and I refuse because you never know when you're going to step in shit accidentally or wet your nice clean socks with dog piss.

Elize is tall and willowy young woman, standing roughly five foot ten inches while barefoot. She appears the picture of frailty with long limbs and sharp features. Despite this she is much more athletic and strong than she appears, her muscles are toned and cut, they flex rather than bounce. Her hair reaches to about the top of her breasts and is thick, a lovely shade of dark auburn red. Elize's face is a memorable one, perhaps it is her cool tropical blue eyes set above a set of sharp cheekbones. Her skin is a cool pale with soft blued undertones and is dotted with freckles in various places from across the bridge of her nose to her shoulders and back.

Clothing Style:

Elize is fairly simple as far as clothing is concerned. She generally wears little more than a tank top and a pair of jeans or shorts. She is usually barefoot so that she can feet her connection to the Earth. She rarely wears jewelry or anything to draw a large amount of attention though she is rather fashionable.

Background:

Elize's start to life was rather tragic, her father died shortly before her mother gave birth to her and then her mother died giving birth to her from a medical mishap. As a result Elize was quickly transferred into the custody of her grandmother who was at one time an herbology professor at Sarina Dorie. Elize's grandmother is extremely wealthy and a widow so it was just the two of them. Elize's grandmother spared her no expense and gave Elize everything that she could ever want for which was usually a menagerie of animals and beautiful gardens of exotic useful plants.
When she was old enough Elize began to attend Sarina Dorie in her homeland of France. Elize's grandmother had only retired from there the previous year and was well assured Elize would be taken care of in the best sense as her parents and grandparents on both sides had all graduated and some had even taught there at some point in time, however briefly. Elize's mother had been the Mythological Creatures professor when she died. Thanks to her grandmother and the new herbology and mythological creatures professors Elize is well versed in herbology and mythological creatures.

Laurel stands around five foot six inches, perhaps five foot seven if she is standing particularly tall that day. She has long dark hair that reaches to about the middle of her back but is often pulled up into a ponytail or into a tight bun to keep it out of her face. She has warm spring green eyes that have hints and flecks of gold within them. Her face has soft but defined features and a set of lusciously full lips that are naturally dark pink in color. Her skin is a warm tanned olive tone that speaks of her Turkish heritage.

Clothing Style:

Laurel is usually found in a pair of athletic pants and a moisture wicking t-shirt of some kind or a racer back tank top when outside of class. She also is generally sporting one of her many pairs of sneakers. When she does dress up though Laurel dresses to impress.

However she is not one to be scorned as the girl has a ferocious temper that when flared can result in quite the physical beating if given the opportunity. She is quite eloquent though, seeming to always know just what to say and when, even when it's a fiery quip back at someone. She spends the majority of her time outside of class either studying or working out as she has to maintain quite a physique to swing her bat hard enough to sling the bludger. She's a more than adept flier and has incredible instincts as to game play and who to knock out whenever possible.

Background:

Laurel was born to Karina and Niall Demirci, two young turkish emigrants to England, Karina’s family was very poor and thus the Demirci clan highly disapproved of their marriage. Though they disapproved of the marriage, wanting Niall to marry to someone of high standing among the pureblood society they could not help but like the young woman. After trying for several years to have a child they finally succeed and Laurel Wren Demirci was born on April 21st 1998. Shortly after this Karina’s parents, who lived in England at the time died suddenly less than a month apart.
Despite their poor standings they had acquired quite a fortune in their time away from high society, manufacturing wands. (The wand Laurel now carries was produced by her grandfather for her grandmother when they were young and studying wand making in China.) Niall and Karina soon moved entirely to her parent’s newly founded estate where they raised Laurel amid all the animals they kept there. Karina and Niall ensured from lots of labor around the grounds of the estate that Laurel would never find herself above her peers and made sure she grew up with a keen interest in her studies.
They were rather unsurprised when the blossoming young lady was sorted into Ravenclaw. Since then she has only grown in intelligence and has developed quite a knack for potions. (Laurel credits her wands dual core for this.)
