GOD DAMN YOU.

Quality over quantity.
Upon entering Runes and Things, Eshna was instantly reminded well of the peculiarity in merchandise a small family-owned shop could retain. On any common street in Delhi, one could find countless tiny establishments that offered miscellaneous trinkets with seemingly little coherence. Luckily in America, though, such chaotic shelves were more rare. Vacant as the place seemed to be, it certainly seemed infinitely more bearable to peruse. Eshna found herself picking up a few of the items, and examined a few shirts, catching the old woman's closed gaze only at the last moment when it passed over her person. More attentive then, she stood beside the others who were undoubtedly in the same boat as herself and listened closely to what the shop owner had to say.

It seemed they were to receive some sort of mystical gift in return for their gold, finally unveiling what it was meant for. As the witch, one by one, revealed clearly how none of this was a joke -an illusion- ultimately, Eshna's doubt in the supernatural truth behind this trip were washed away, replaced instead with a growing curiosity and wonder. When it came to be her turn, to receive her own gift, she graciously handed the bag of coin to the witch and patiently awaited what would come of it.

A bag of medicine. How fitting. Eshna couldn't help but smile as she weighed the leather sack in her hand. With a quick deduction, she attributed her prowess in medical school to be stemmed from the divine. She let out a quick, quiet laugh and recalled the qualities of poultice; it was not the most potent of anti-inflammatory, but it would help where nothing else would. It seemed, almost fatefully, that it would have its time quite soon. Immediately in fact.

The witch, to her surprise, had stabbed another individual present in both hands, quite apathetically in fact. Withholding the desire to call police, knowing well the unbelievable situation they were in already, she resolved instead to simply help Lucky. Rushing to his side, she moved aside his poor attempts at bandaging his wounds and instead applied some of the poultice she had received before wrapping it up tightly with the cloth he had procured, in addition to some other materials she herself picked up.

Eshna spoke up as she looked over her work, correcting tiny aspects of the crack-job healing, "Then, as Free Agents," she stated sarcastically, "what is the first task we have been commanded?"

*Note: ignore get-up.

Name: Eshna Kumar
Age: 26
Race: Caucasian/Bengali
Sex: Female
Homeland: India
History: Eshna grew up a relatively normal life in the US state of Washington, living singularly with her father. Besides her obscene strength compared to her peers, she led a consistent and inconspicuous way of living all throughout her public education. When Eshna's father motioned to move back to India to live with his elderly parents, she felt a sense of obligation to follow and aid him along the way. For 4 years, she stayed within the States and attended a university before moving to India to enroll in medical school.

Once again her life proved relatively unassuming and normal. She made her way through medical school with ease, proving to be adept in her studies and application of her teachings. To retain time to herself, she initially sought to switch to a nursing career, but her family urged her to keep along the path towards becoming a doctor as she had initially dreamed of. Before reaching such far away achievements however, Eshna was visited by the pair of crows Hugin and Munin. As much as she tried to shrug off the strange occurrence, she unavoidably found herself travelling back to the US and for California.

They were too small, to quick within the sanctity of many (albeit dilapidated) buildings. With her immense size, Vera did not stare leap about in the town's small spaces for fear of wrecking the human's homes even further. The half-dragon pursued what was originally to be her target as well, though her conscience had since stopped her. She had the option of reverting to human form, but amidst the chaos and uncertainty, she worried that such a stance would prove insufficient in dealing with her foes. She maintained her titanic size.

But something large and formidable caught her eyes. Something she thought would justify battling in her size; the monstrous being she had seen earlier upon arrival on wing. The disastrous form of its body, layered with armor and sporting numerous chitinous claws, she knew in that instance that it was her fateful opponent here. Giving one last glance into the direction Evvie had left, worried slightly but placing faith in her abilities, Vera took to wing and landed with a skid beside Snarnorgul, sniffing the blood and gore that coated him, noting the bear's carcass at his side. Certainly this thing was worth her sincere time if it could fell such an immense bear.

"Forgive me if my assumptions offend you, but your appearance and destructive nature indicate you side with these horrid elves," Vera stated, blowing a jet of flame from her nostrils, "I would so love to engage in a battle befitting of my own size and strength. The elves are cannon-fodder you see." Vera crouched low to the ground, and expanding her wings, readied for quick movement if the beast proved faster than his weighty appearance indicated.
