Other Appearance: Jack has a tattoo on his right bicep. He has had it since he was six. His grandmother placed it there. His Creole accent seems to be there one minute and gone the next. 

History/bio: To understand Jack you first need to look around him. For more than 200 years, the Laveau Clan has protected the city of New Orleans from the shadows. The city  has been home to different groups over the years, but the Laveaus have always kept the peace using magic and politics when needed.  Due to this, New Orleans has become a mixing pot of different groups with the Laveau Coven to protect both the humans and the non humans. The family sees it as their duty to protect those that cannot protect themselves. They always keep the magic away from the eyes of the normal folks but still manage to keep them safe. 

A strange quirk in the family was that the family magic seem to be passed only to the female members of the line. This was true until the current generation. This was when the trouble began. When Anna Laveau got pregnant, a spell was placed to determine the gender of the child. The spell showed that the child was a boy and somehow was inheriting the family magic. One of the members with the gift of Propheta foretold that Anna would not live to see the sunrise on the day the boy was born. The prophesy held true and Anna Laveau died two minutes before sunrise on the 10th of September. Jack's grandmother took custody of her grandson after she had  promised her daughter that she would make him into a great witch worthy of his last name.

Julia raised her grandson in the proper ways of magic. After an incident with a flying chair at his kindergarten class, she placed a binding tattoo on his arm to control his magics. She would teach him different spells and potions as they worked in her magic shop. It was mainly for the tourists but there were a few real magic things there. Jack knew that he would some day inherit the shop and the lead of the Coven someday. She also taught him to respect his ancestors. Every Sunday they would bring food to different local grave yards as respect for those who had died. She taught her grandson all of her recipes so he could do this by himself some day.

 Jack spent most of his life exploring the city and all its hidden parts. He learned to not treat anyone differently no matter the species.  Jack found he liked being able to fight physically so he kept training. He wanted to be able to use both his magic and his fists should need be.

One day seemingly at random, Julia decreed that Jack would be going to Gringore Academy so he could be around more people his own age. Jack agreed and left for the school soon after.  

Family/Relationships: Julia Laveau: Jack's grandmother and magical mentor. Current Leader of the New Orleans Coven.
Anna Laveau: Jack's mother. Used to work for the Coven as a healer. Died September 10,1996 6:40 am.
Father Unknown: Jack's grandmother refuses to ever speak of him or will ignore any questions about him. Jack thinks he was some sort of hunter from what he has picked up during his research into the topic. Jack apparently looks like him. 

Other/Extra: He is a very good cook since he was taught by his grandmother. It is not odd for the smell of different Creole dishes to be wafting out of his room.

Jack will hit on anyone regardless of gender or species. His creole accent seems to get more thick if he is trying to charm someone.

He is fluent in French creole, English, and Latin.
