In the center of the village is a town square with stone benches and pink daisies. The rp will start in November, so it's cold and maybe snowy. The shops are: bakery, pub, inn, tailor, bookstore, post office, and anything else you want to add in-those are located around the town square. There is a graveyard by the woods behind the pub, it is to the right of the worn oath that brings you to Kingsley Manor. The marketplace for fresh produce is to the south, with cottages and housing mostly in between the town square/shops and marketplace. There are 2 wells; one by the marketplace, one by the woods. The village has dirt paths that serve as streets everywhere besides the town square, which has cobblestone streets.

the vamps of the ispwich world are very territorial and stuff, they kinda regard different places that they 'control' their land, and the humans living there as 'belonging' to them (meaning they're the only vamps who can feed from them). Vampires can fight amongst themselves for control of a particular area, which is why london vamps stick with london vamps, paris vamps stick with paris vamps, etc. they usually have loyalty to the the regional leader(s) of the area, or the vamps who were there first

Playable Races

VAMPIRES: Elusive creatures of the night, vampires have very little resistance to sunlight, so most carry around a parasol or wear a hat outdoors during the day. They drink blood for nourishment and human food tends to taste bland. Their two (or less) additional powers are usually in someway related to their personality. When a vampire is turned, he/she automatically gets enhanced speed, strength, and senses. The powers come in a wide range of varieties, from metal manipulation to mind reading. Examples include telekinesis, healing, anything elemental, teleportation, clairvoyance, etc. their powers have varying degrees of strength, and the older he vampire, the more powerful. Vampires are weakened by garlic and silver, though the only ways to kill them are prolonged garlic/silver exposure and by either staking them in the heart or beheading them. If a vampire bites you, you either can survive if their fangs don't remain in contact for too long. Otherwise, you either die or turn into a vampire. Vampires cannot step foot into a church of any sort. Avg lifespan: 300-400 years

THRALLS: The slaves of vampires, they are made when a vampire turns them and etches a bondage rune on the inside of victim's left forearm with the vampire's own blood. They have to obey any direct orders from their maker, no questions asked, though experienced thralls can always find loopholes. Thralls possess the same qualities as vampires (including the powers, though they tend to be weaker than those of a full fledged vamp) other than the fact their blood still smells and tastes like human blood. Avg lifespan: 150-200 yrs

HUNTERS: usually, the role of hunter is hereditary. If your grandfather was a hunter, your father was a hunter, and you are a hunter (the same goes for women too). The Kingsleys are the current leaders of any English hunters, and The matriarch has final say (the leader of the hunters is determined by the council of elders, who reside farther out in the countryside). The Kingsleys will be NPCs unless someone wants to rp as them, which is fine-first come first serve. Typical weaponry include silver daggers, crossbows, stakes, and vials of water with bulbs of garlic in them. Crosses and holy oil also can harm vampires. Hunters usually live in the village, with hunters fm abroad staying at the manor in the mysterious basement. Hunters usually are unemployed, besides the village pastor who WILL be a hunter. Avg lifespan: 30-45 yrs

HUMANS: Pretty much self explanatory. As far as technology, this rp takes place in the late 1800s, specifically 1879. Humans can have pretty much any job, from a cook at the manor to a seamstress with a small cottage near the woods. Avg lifespan: 40-50 yrs

Based on a friends role play from a different site-not accepting anymore vampires or humans who turn into vampires BUT ACCEPTING HUMANS, HUNTERS, AND THRALLS

Ipswich Village: At first glance, it appears to be a quaint little village that the Industrial Revolution hasn't quite caught up with yet. This sleepy town on the outskirts of London features nothing more than an inn, some stores, a bar, and a cluster of cottages. If one was to follow an old beaten down path behind the pub, after an hour of walking one would stumble upon an old manor. This manor is somewhat of an enigma to the residents of Ispwich; even the people who have jobs as servants and cooks there report that the almost reclusive lord and lady who live there are almost always nowhere in sight. However, no one has ever been allowed in the basement of the manor....and that basement is what inspired the superstitions of Ispwich Village.

There were rumored to be supernatural creatures of all shapes and sizes living down there; and wild, unreasonable explanations were conjured just to legitimize the claims of some scullery maid who fancied storytelling. The most popular of these tales involved vampires sleeping during the day and emerging in the moonlight to suck the blood of innocent people in the manor and its surrounding areas. The mysterious visitors that the manor received during the middle of the night didn't help matters at all.

In fact, the truth was the complete opposite of what the townsfolk believed in. How ironic it was that Kingsley Manor was the headquarters for English vampire hunters, the reason that it wasn't situated in London was because vampires had long inhabited one of the most prominent cities in Great Britain. Nevertheless, every child was told ghost stories on how a vampire would suck their blood if they didn't behave and to always watch their back at night. Even adults insist on never, ever going outdoors after the sun sets. Better safe than sorry.

But there is an unfortunate piece of news for the hunters. Vampires had recently discovered the location of Kingsley Manor, and, unbeknownst to them, the vampires have already infiltrated Ispwich Village. Beings older than Queen Victoria herself are waiting, lurking in the shadows....

That being said, here's the CS! If you want your Charrie to be turned into a vamp but start out as human please just write that on your sheet under species and fill out all the vamp only parts anyway. Thralls explained in next post
