Things were going well for the Infiltration team and they got back to the garage without incident but that's is as far as the easy sailing went. As the team got them prepared a group of Ten armed guards bust into the garage combing the area for the infiltration team. As soon as one of the guards noticed the team he whistled alerting the others before bringing up his rifle and opening fire.

There they were. Ten armed guards coming straight for the three of them clustered around Jason's gleaming red car, and advancing quickly. Vanessa was in the middle of pulling on her fairly lightweight shield gauntlet when she first noticed them. One of them caught sight of her and signaled to the others, and soon enough, the whole group of them was running towards the trio. Turning her head sharply in the other direction, Vanessa noticed that Acacia had her shotgun hefted in her hand. Vanessa reached for her slightly antiquated gun and made sure it was loaded and ready to fire.

I really need a better gun, she thought wryly to herself, noticing the weaponry that both Acacia and Genesis wielded. Shaking her head at her own flighty nature, Vanessa glanced up and saw that the guards were getting closer and closer. Oh, shit Vanessa cursed inwardly. She circled around behind the car, which put her in a relatively safe position-for now. No guarantees to the safety of the car though, and if the enemy decided to close off the rear (which, admittedly, was something anyone with a functioning brain would do), well, to put it bluntly; she'd be screwed over.

"You guys ready for this?" Vanessa asked warily, waiting for one of the guards to get in range. She had no idea what type of armor they'd have on, but hopefully the bullets that she had previously loaded into her firearm would penetrate it. If not, then.....Vanessa really didn't want to finish her thought.

Ah! Right there! Vanessa squeezed the trigger, and a bullet shot straight out of weapon, whizzing past the guard in the front, missing him by a few inches. "Goddammit!" Vanessa exclaimed. However, there was no time to linger on the missed mark. The guards had now opened fire, and Vanessa ducked as a bullet ricocheted off the top of the car. She winced. "Sorry, Jason," she muttered, peering over the roof of the once flawless car, facing the incoming guards that were now trying to surround her, Acacia, and Genesis.

"Looks like your car is gonna get more than just a scratch."

-Caroline-
Caroline had decided to leave the bakery for her home a bit later than usual, opting to stay a tad longer to tidy up the bakery. After mopping the floors and putting one last loaf of bread in the oven, Caroline threw open the windows and left the door ajar, letting the stifling heat from the fire escape into the chilly outdoors. She sat down on a rickety wooden chair, contentedly exhausted from a day's work. It was time to go home.

Grabbing the small basket Caroline had brought along with her and a wooden pail, she exited the bakery after shutting the windows and locking everything securely. Caroline walked briskly out into the cool, crisp air, the moon invisible under a blanket of clouds. She made her way at a slightly faster pace than normal down to the southern end of the village, coming across the old stone well that was struggling to stand upright. Affixing the handle of the pail to the worn rope, she lowered it into the certifiably icy water and drew it back up, struggling with the dead weight of the liquid. Untying the bucket, Caroline unsteadily held the bucket of numbingly cold water in one hand while she picked her basket up with her other. She unsteadily walked back to her house through the emptying streets, looking forward to a bowl of warm soup and dinner in her stomach.

Arriving at her front door, Caroline set down the bucket and basket once again then fished out the keys. She unlocked it, pausing at the threshold, lingering outside in the wintry air. Caroline felt an uneasy feeling creep into her gut, and she cautiously peered into the shadows that were grabbing at the buildings, attempting to discern the source of her uneasiness.

time: around 8pm at night or 20:00
weather: it's a cloudy night, and a thin mist hangs around everywhere, clutching at the shadows. fairly cold, about 34 degrees Fahrenheit. not very much wind, and the moon and stars are partially obscured by the thick cloud cover and slight fog
i'm cool with alex doing anything, it would make things interesting if both him and mithias were there though
